Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is a punishing climbing game. You move the hammer with the mouse, and that's all there is. With practice, you'll be able to jump, swing, climb and fly. Great mysteries and a wonderful reward await the master hikers who reach the top of the mountain.

Climb up an enormous mountain with nothing but a hammer and a pot.
Listen as I make philosophical observations about the problem at hand.
Between 2 and ∞ hours of agonizing gameplay, depending. The median time to finish for my playtesters was 5 hours, but the mean was closer to ∞.
Lose all your progress, over and over.
Feel new types of frustration you didn't know you were capable of.
Magical reward awaits hikers who reach the top.

blitz u can use momentum to get up things like the house or the rock after it, because if u pulled up really hard on the branch u could probably get up to the top of the house level.

I'll copy+paste a comment I made on Drae's video, it explains how I perceive the game, however it's quite lengthy and somewhat obscure. Blitz, you're panicking and that's causing you to move erratically. Every time you move erratically it makes you mess up, making you more and more panicked, and then that leads to even more erratic movements. *_(My last paragraph is the overview of my thoughts, or the "TL;DR")_* The real game here is the mental one you have to play, it's not about how far you get up the mountain or how fast you do it, the real game is having to decide to calm down and realize "this isn't the 'real' game". That's the only way to win, the video game and the mental one. The video game is to the mental game as a set of cards is to poker... Now that may not make sense, so I'll try to explain my thoughts: The game you are playing is just the piece that is real in a sense, something that everyone can see, while nobody can see the real, mental game; People can see the cards and chips used to play poker, but there is nothing that we could visually describe as poker(aside from the cards and chips used to play it). All games are made fun and "real" by our creativity. If you were to make a robot programmed to complete a game it'd do it in an uncreative, unfun, and as efficient a way as possible, the only reason games are fun is because humans aren't perfect... I say this because if you completed every single video game you've ever played with ease then nothing is satisfying, you expect to win because you've never tasted the bitterness of defeat, you've never felt the pride of overcoming an obstacle that had you stuck for days, and you've never fully explored a game. Luckily humans aren't always driven by objectives, we're not perfect in that sense. We're curious creatures, and we make mistakes that put us in situations that force us to adapt to them, but as I have said, these challenges in life fill us with the pride that we have finally overcome a task that has hindered us, or put us at risk of it. Now I've rambled on long enough, and I assume that the majority of you haven't read my entire comment, but I think most of you can understand the concept I'm grasping at: "Getting Over It w/ Bennett Foddy" is a game that you play with your mind, and less of a game that you play with a controller. It's about progressing as a person, not as a player; Sometimes you'll 'fall back down' in your attempts at progression, but to finally progress over whatever caused you to 'fall' you'll always have to start over. It may take you a few tries to get there again and even then you'll probably 'fall' at the same spot, but know that every time you make it you're getting one step closer to finally *Getting Over It.*

Blitz you ding-dong. The controls aren't bad, they are just unique. you have to be careful, and not send the hammer all over the place. Move fast. When you launch, you need to move the hammer in, then grab with it. It'll only get harder from here, but so will you.
