Why did 걷다 become 걸어요, 걸었어요 and 걸을 거예요? I mean why did the ㄷ become ㄹ
@LearnKoreanWithJuhee
@LearnKoreanWithJuhee 2 ай бұрын
When conjugating basic verbs into the informal polite forms (-아요, -어요), some Korean verbs whose stems end in ㄷ change ㄷ to ㄹ when followed by a vowel. These verbs are called ㄷ irregular verbs. The verb 걷다 (to walk) is one of these ㄷ irregular verbs, which is why 걷다 (to walk) becomes 걸어요, 걸었어요, and 걸을 거예요 instead of 걷어요, 걷었어요, and 걷을 거예요. I hope this explanation helps!😊

In korea continuous and perfect tense doesn't it happened?
@LearnKoreanWithJuhee

In Korean, there are continuous forms (past continuous, present continuous, and future continuous). While English has perfect tenses, Korean does not have a direct equivalent. Instead, various expressions and verb endings are used to indicate a completed state. 😊
