I forgot about cozy mysteries. I have a few, but I keep overlooking them. Christmas/winter time seems like the perfect time to read those. I love that cover on bloodsugar! As someone who grew up reading sweet valley twins/high....I WANT TO READ EVIL ELIZABETH! yes, it sounds like haunted mask...but I always wanted to see Elizabeth lose her sh!t. This was a perfect video to watch while I was packing my books for my move to a new apartment! Great video, Cameron! Also, I read BTVS: Halloween Rain earlier this year and absolutely loved it. Truly felt like a lost episode. Great dialogue, fun action, and great Halloween vibes. Wholeheartedly recommend it! I’ve only read a few Buffy related novels so far, but really want to collect them all because it’s my favorite show haha.

Well, dang. You solved a many year mystery showing that Clive Barker book. I remember seeing that all the time at the library when I was too young to rent it, (or at least my mom wouldn’t let me) but I always looked at it and wanted to check it out. USHER'S PASSING is a perfect example of one of my principle rules of book collecting: Never leave a used bookstore thinking, "I'll buy that later." IT WILL NEVER BE THERE UPON YOUR RETURN. This was a lesson learned with far too many tears and regrets. 😢 i would always ask myself before pulling out of the parking lot, "Is there something for which I should go back?" I just recently bought The Haunted Burial Grounds SVT book 😃 i just read All Hallows by Christopher Golden and How to Survive Your Murder by Danielle Valentine. I think they are both worth being a part of your Halloween collection 😉 i am currently reading The Stitchers. I don't think i will make it to the second and third, which is a shame because those are the ones that actually take place on Halloween.

Good question! It’s one of my all-time faves, but I gave away my copy a few years ago. I’m hoping to get a nice fancy copy before long. :) I don’t own a copy of Something Wicked, but I have read it. I’d like to get the Folio Society edition.

Have you heard of Rattlebone Rock by Sylvia Andrews? It's a children's Halloween book from the '90s that is SO fun... I missed out on it when I was a kid but love reading it to my two-year old daughter. The book has a great cadence and rhythm that my daughter already picks up on, and I can imagine it being a really fun one to read out loud to a group of kids if I was a librarian or teacher. Plus the illustrations by Jennifer Plecas are so gloriously '90s. Highly recommend!

Couldn't agree more about going negative. The fact is if I am reading a bad book I usually don't finish it. If I don't finish it I feel I cannot review it. What if I quit halfway through a 200-page book and the remaining 100 pages were great.
