I have a arrma felony with a 5680 t.p 1920 kv motor. Had a 42 pinion with a 34 spool and ran it for the first time today and the esc caught fire! And I literally went about 35 feet not even half throttle. Seen ya video and was thinking of getting this esc

Sorry to hear that. Last time I ran an xlx in my Kraton it caught fire at only 83 mph, long ago. Haven't decided to push it until this new esc. It did the trick

Just watched Kevin Talbot burn up 2 of those XLX2's, almost back to back, and he didn't even get to run them yet. Seemed like he did the install totally fine. He even tried the TP motor. Anyway, your videos are awesome! I was thinking of using the stock 8s kraton electronics, for a limitless. I'm not big time like you. 100mph would be nice, without reaching thermal shutdown too quickly.

I just got my xlx2 yesterday, I bought a TP 5660 1356kv after I told hobby shop I wanted a tp motor to go with the esc and wanted decent speed around 85mph and to bash a little also nothing crazy. I have the stock 47 spur and they said start with a 25 pinion and work your way up. After looking on TP's site I saw the chart that said 6s not 8s, do you think it will be a issue? also do you think the 25 is good or should I jump to a 30t while sticking with the 47t main gear? That 5660 can definitely take 8s. Just watch your motor temperatures because that esc won't get hot on ya. And yes I'd totally get a starting gearing of that. If you want to go faster go up 2 teeth every time

@@proefficientsvision6325 800kv on 8s with a 1:1 ratio isn't that astronomical, run it in gear reduction first 34/39 and see how well it performs. If it runs cool then bump it up to 1:1. Yeah I was wondering what you meant by setup when you told me the vehicle and electronics already that's usually the setup. You meant gearing= setup. Gotcha haha

I figured it out! The esc not the issue the max volts for the motor is 28.5 and I was running 8s which is higher than the 28.5 so I just gotta run 6 or 7 s and I’ll be good

Just seen in full. 103mph on 2nd run... I reckon there's more in the tank, going by TP Can cool temps, is room for taller gearing. Man that CC XLX2 is a Monster 👾 New World Record is in the post 🏆 🏁 #N01 Oh BTW Brandon I use big pancake Graphene Panthers 6000mah 75C in my K8S & have to stand them sideways like you, its a struggle to get Strap through the Plastic Loop.. Can I ask did you remove the Plastic piece & use the original Strap or did you fit new battery straps ? TIA 🙏

Thanks on that man. I have the OEM battery straps. I just pull the forward through the top side and velcro it, after I'll adjust by sliding it back up and around to make it work.

Hey I'm just about done building my Kraton 8s EXB. I'm not trying to break any records. But just curious what kind of speeds my car is running. What is a good cost effective way to measure the speeds of my Kraton? It's my very first RC car build EVER. These Kratons are bad ass. I've got the car, built the Castle 1100kv system for it. Just waiting on some QS8 connectors to hook the batteries up. I just want a cool car to do some light bashing. I guess my goal is to see how far I can push this platform without breaking anything. Some people are sending it 30 feet in the air and bending chassis. I don't want to break it AT ALL. How far can we push the Kraton 8s EXB without destroying it. What you've done is impressive as hell. But if I can do half of what you've done, and keep it reliable, it will say a lot for the Arrma Kraton 8s platform. I'm sitting here looking at it, across from me in my living room. It's bigger than I was expecting. But wow, what an impressive machine. I'm dying to get it running, just waiting on more QS8 connectors, hopefully next try I can solder them without melting the plastic housings. So hopefully within the next week. I'm guessing it's going to be around 55mph, but something basic to measure the mph would help a lot.

I have the Turnigy TD10, and for do the speeds runs, I have to lock the front and rear diff or not?, I say that because from factory the front is locked and the rear is not.

Do NOT lock your diffs. Only the center or run a spool. You want to run thicker oils in the front and rear diff to allow some give
