my 82 xs400j starts up fine everytime

Mine is a little out of sorts, have to kick it for like a minute then i just use the electric start, give it some throttle, and shes mint

Okay so it was a fouled plug. Replaced it and it starts first kick every time, no choke.

100 on an XS400? Mine (bought new in 1978) maxxed out around 75 or so.

They definitely go faster than 75... mine is stock and she'll do 85 before I chicken out ... I'd guess they'll do 90 ish, perhaps more. Mine is an 81, SOHC same as in this video.

@@robbie2447 I had a 1978 and it would easily do over 100. I rode it at 90 with two up. Should have kept that bike, but I wastired of chains, so bought a BMW.

Mine will do about 120kmh with a tail wind. Runs nice so dont know why. I would love some more speed

No they only do 95mph. Good bkes when standard. Most of the KZbin vids, the bikes look like they fell out of a dogs anus.
