There was a show called "man tracker" back in the day that had a bad a$$ guy on a horse that would track 2 people for 2 days as they tried to get from point A to point B without being caught by the tracker. The tracker had a local guide with him to help him out a little with land features but the tracker had to find signs of the "prey". The tracker also didnt know where point B was or how much further the prey had to go. It was such a good show for the first few seasons. I lost intest when the changed the "tracker" guy. The first guy was awesome. I'd LOVE a new version of this show. Especially if it was done real without stupid set up dramtic scenarios you find in a lot of shows now days. Just real people running from someone trying to catch them.

@dylans--world9996 ай бұрын
hes learned a bit. i feel like he should know WAY more judging by the fact hes been on the pod for 4 years now. he only rlly knows things that forrest has discussed 10+ times (sometimes he still doesnt) and it almost kind of seems like he doesnt even really care about the topics discussed to a considerable amount. still love him tho, show wouldnt be the same without him. its just kind of surprising how little he has retained over the years, but ill give him his credit for the things that he does retain.
@JorgeF696 ай бұрын
@@dylans--world999it's the beauty of having retep here though. I love when he talks about his conspiracy theories and brings up random topics. like having just pat and forrest would work but retep is the iceing on the cake 😅

Skunks are calm little creatures. I have trapped and relocated several and in the process of picking up the live trap and loading it in the truck, and driving them to a new location, and taking the trap out of the truck, and opening it to release them - I have never been sprayed. I have generally found them under porches, not in attics. But i worked construction/remodeling for many years and found at least a dozen shedded snake skins in attics over the years - just so ya know.

I wish the Crocodile hunter was still alive and would do wild life content with Forrest. He is the only person that would be the expert that Forrest would learn from. Mostly regarding wild life handling, capture and experience based ability to read an animals personality, threat of attacking etc but both would complement each other with their knowledge about all wild animals.

technically all birds are equally related to t.rex. penguins are just as related to t.rex as a hawk or an ostrich is. and they also did not directly evolve from the tyranosaurus lineage. birds are dromeosaurs. so more closely related to velociraptors than t.rex

And yet Evolution attempts to explain how we started in the ocean as a sponge, current theory claims that all life possibly came from sea sponges. Then we evolved into vertebrates, eventually found the struggle for survival so hard that we left the ocean when its incredibly more diverse and abundant than anything on land. We left pristine conditions to attempt life on the much harsher surface. For some reason we decided to leave an ecosystem of infinite food and diversity to try and eek life out on the 30% of land (of which 43% is only habitable) so more like 13% of the planet. Evolution thought the best path for vertebrates was to attempt a go at it on the 13% of land available on the planet? And that's how our most advanced civilizations and societies has formed, all because we where able to cook food and get more nutrient out of it, after leaving an ecosystem that is vastly greater and more stable than anything that has ever come and gone on land? But the things in the ocean have been alive longer, had more time to evolve and figure out how to properly process nutrient without using fire to advance their sustainability to the point where intelligence becomes a priority from an evolution stand point?!?!?!? I dont know lol, that sounds prettttttty fucking far-fetched if you ask me lol.
