Rs 6550/- is the actual fare for 1 seat, so you guys had 4 seats this makes 6550*4= Rs 26200/- in total from Karachi to Lahore, you guys could buy 2 seats so the half fare for whole journey. But on the other hand paying double made sure that you guys have the whole compartment.

Yes, I miss travelling by train a lot. It's a whole new world of its own. After a long time I travelled in PR last year and was pleasantly surprised to find water in the bathrooms. Other than that I didn't expect much and carried my own liquid soap and tissue roll.

Hey so i dont know if the other option was available. However there is another train compartment option which has room for four people and has a washroom inside it. That may have a been cheaper option overall as you would have been paying for Four seats in total. In both cases, there are options for the sit-up style commode . Not sure if you were able to come across it

one can get a 9 usd phone with a local sim which should work for international calls as well. Also when going on a 18 hour train journey just get nestle water and grab a couple of biryanis and curry from students biryani and tell the kitchen crew to heat them up if you don't want to try the food on the train.

I think some one had misguided you. In this train the food is free for persons travelling in business class. They give dinner, breakfast and lunch for free. Why you didn't take? Next time if you travel in train then book your seats in AC Sleeper in coupa of two. Select tezgam or Karachi express. From lahore to Rawalpindi or vice versa select Non stop train in AC Parlour. Or if you select bus then go for Q Connect. Hope you have enjoyed the time in pakistan. Take care of yourself. Stay blessed.

Since you are going more north, I recommend you take a day trip to Peshawar. The food will be right up your street as it's not as spicy as the rest of Pakistan. Also, the people there are very friendly and welcoming. I suggest you watch the vlogs of peter santenello, he travelled all over Pakistan and showcased the culture of all the provinces of Pakistan.

I am deeply madly enjoying your vlog videos of Pakistan... I am from Karachi City currently in Islamabad City wanna know you both are coming in Islamabad it will be a great pleasure to meet you here and guide yu for great places in Islamabad... Currently temperature in the day is between 17 to 20 degree morning n evening from 13 to 9 degrees... Regarding train tickets I would have advised you should have gone directly to Cantt Railway station to purchase cheaper tickets which could have been between 8000 to 12000 PKR but yu mentioned 33000 thousands which is really surprised to know ... There are compartment with a modern toilet within inside but yu guys saw common toilets which are not WC ... Regarding drinks like coka cola or pepsi should have purchased from Karachi station where you bought snacks biscuits. But arriving Lahore on train is a great experience and Yu will love to explore Lahore and Lahori foods cuisine Desi style... Keep enjoying cheers 👏👏👏

You should've opted for AC SLEEPER CLASS which is the highest class available in Pakistan Railways (you're in AC BUSINESS CLASS a grade lower) in which cabins are for 4 & 2 people, with attached washrooms with western toilets 🤷

The food on the Greenline is actually good. You guys should have eaten meals on the train, they are part of the ticket. The man cleaning was saying "meri bhi khencay" meaning he wanted you to take his picture.

Here is a pro tip Harry, before you walk into a buying situation (since you guys always tend to get mega tourist rates, hehe), ask a local how much it would/should cost, they will give you a decent ball park figure, then from there you are at a level playing field of haggling... my thumb of rule is that if the owner/seller is honest or going with local price i tip, if they are trying to hit a jackpot i walk...

The food including breakfast and dinner is free of cost as well as the tea as its included in the train ticket. And the actual per person fare of the train was 6.5k pkr, but since you guys booked the whole compartment of 6 people which is why you had to pay 33k which is a lot. And as far as my knowlege goes there are 2 person compartments available as well in the train which would cost you wayyy less as those are designed to accommodate 2 people and it would have the same thing, same structure which you are getting in that compartment, the only thing different would be the beds, you guys would have 2 beds rather than 6 beds . Hope you're enjoying your stay here 🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
