It’s awesome to see all the tribes go down different routes. In some weird way seeing this reminds me of that event in WoW where players would be infected but everyone was cured at the end of the event or something like that, and what people would do is get their mounts infected and put them away, and even after the event ended when they’d take out that mount the infection would spread again, and it was said that that was used as a real-life simulation of the spread of disease.

That wasn't an event lol. That was a bug with a dungeon. Then when they started fixing it and people like viral terrorists began intentionally spreading it.

Players still infected their mounts and used them to spread whatever it was after it was removed from the game or fixed as you say, whatever it was, the point being it was no longer intended to be spread, except players found a way around it, and spread it, and mapping out the spread of it in-game has been used as a simulation of the spread of disease in the real world. That’s the point, what something is called doesn’t change the end It just makes me look like an idiot who can easily be laughed at by people like you despite not having said anything inherently wrong. result. The intention of the players performing the actions doesn’t change the actions themselves and the results produced by them, why what their goal was matters at all is beyond me. Infect a player and sell them the cure? Laugh as people die from a virus the game doesn’t have a way for them to cure? Whatever was possible, whatever was intended, doesn’t change what has already been done. Doesn’t change the real world effects it had. And doesn’t change the lack of the importance of what name we call it by. If I understood what a car was, and how to drive it, would I be an idiot if I didn’t know it by the name “car” but instead believed they were called bananas? If I understand what happened in the game, does it matter if I didn’t know it by the name “dungeon” but instead believed it was called an event? I’m not looking to be a credible source, I’m not writing a research paper, here, I’m writing a fucking KZbin comment. So why does it matter, then? I’d like a genuine answer, because I can’t even garner a guess at it myself.

Redwoods had a great advantage with the Gigantopithicus'. They're a rather powerful tame when the ease of taming them is taken into consideration.

Cool concept! If you are looking for ideas for another round: I'd like to see one as a longer experiment with regular dino spawns, no sacrificing and all players but each tribes leader gets unlimited respawns. A tribe must have a leader at all times and once a leader dies, he's out of the game for good. Players can leave their assigned tribe and go off by themselves but that classes them as their own leader. I think this model will promote the safety in numbers ethos, interesting intertribe politics and assasination attempts to try and weaken the enemy tribes. Perhaps there could be a win condition of the strongest tribe by day ...
