You will never find Brahmin food category, the category for "without onion garlic" is called as jain food In restaurant... And how many Brahmins follow this? The term Satvik is from Sanskrit. Bhagavad Gita mentions Satvik food. Ideally every Hindu should eat satvik food while, today only few Brahmins follow that. Although Jain and Hinduism traditions are somewhat similar, majority of the Jains follow it.
