Always thought this was just a copy pasta tank. But no it actually is different. The ZSU-57-2 is based on a T-54 obviously Whereas this tank is based on a later Type 69 hull which is better armored, has a better engine. And the biggest being the inclusion of that proximity fuse HE shell, making anti air duty a breeze

The AA guns in the ZSU are derived from a stationary AA gun that does have proximity rounds, but there is no evidence that the Russians adapted it for the ZSU. The Chinese are thought to have independently developed proxy shells for this one, verified by captured examples in Middle East wars.

I would like to see the 2S38 SPO. It is built upon the BMP-3 chassis and it has only one gun, but does have access to Radar and probably a sabot round, but even with the restrictions on sabot ammo on SPAAs on high tiers, it has sufficient penetration to defeat light tanks and side armor of MBTs even at a range. It would be an OTOMATIC but smaller. Only problem is that Russia doesn’t need it at top tier since the Tunguska is already very good and SPAAs at top tier are deliberately nerfed in their AT ability by having very limited amounts of Sabot rounds, this would without a doubt be the Best SPAA in the game unless you could only carry a limited amount of all AP rounds. 4:05 This is why I would like to see more VT round AAs as opposed to bullet hoses and missile carries. Bullet hose SPAAs struggle in AT without sabor rounds and big cannon SPAA are extremely difficult to use against air targets, especially at higher tiers with jets. VT fuze allows you to fire big round that can penetrate tanks and also kill planes easily. Edit: Predictions about 2S38 came true.
