I have a brushed Mad Van that I love. But this new body with the details is just awesome. Only thing I don't like as much is the hole in the body for the wheelie bar.

The brushed version uses a plastic centre drive shaft & plastic spur. Brushless has the steel spur gear. When I upgraded my brushed mad van to brushless with the stock plastic spur, it completely stripped the plastic spur within 30ft on first run on 2s. After fitting a steel spur it runs brilliant on 2s & 3s, along with a great sound you get with steel spur & pinion meshing together

@@paulclancy2404 Paul I wouldn't bother using a plastic spur on brushless, being plastic + 48dp strips very easy indeed. The stock brushed Mad Van even uses a plastic pinion as well as the plastic spur. To check your possibly worn spur the steel spur should be 40.5mm o/a diam to the tip of the teeth, teeth depth are 1.25mm deep giving 39mm diam at the root of the teeth measuring across the face of the spur.

It says we can't use a big pinion gear , I wonder if just this platform van not all fazers

Fair warning , I ran 2s lil crawler battery , than a low c rating 3s , took easy on grass didnt want scratch the body. Thought I stripped diff or broke a pin. Took all apart , the spur pinion didn't look stripped . So after 3 hours wrenching back and forth trying different things ,let it strip further so I can see the problem and the pinion gear ⚙ disintegrate, not sure if spur stripped it looks OK, going try another pinion today , but I may need a new spur also. Note the diffs only have little bit grease or sloshed to one side . I put 5000 cts in . I'm not sure how deep grooves are supposed be on spur , but if its stripped im going order plastic ones I think,

I just figure. Use less throttle with 3s , plus I didn't have a 2s with xt 60 or deans , just testing didn't even go as hard as Tomley..but I think using rcs in more confined spaces is harder on drive train bc you constantly go throttle to brake instead rolling to throttle

I love the Midnight Pumpkin tires on these guys. I’m glad the made this 4 wheel drive. Out of all the run run videos I’ve seen though it’s slower on grass it’s seems more capable on grass. It’s A-arms look nice and flexible. I love the forensic parts find lol

Glass you like it! I'm loving mine. I feel exactly the same way about the body lol. A new painted one is nearly £80 by the looks of it. Absolutely bonkers price. The unpainted one is more like 45 which is still a bit steep but much less painful at least. They sure do scoot for 2s. I guess it's just a simple fact of having a 4000KV motor, a bit faster than you typically see in 1/10 stuff. Works well anyway.

It's an absolutely stunning looking bodyshell Phil. I've had that problem too with things falling off my trucks,if it wasn't for watching back on my videos,I'd never have found them again either. That truck runs amazingly well,but it'll be bonkers if you drop a 3s into it.

This is cool van. Sorry to say much better looking then the lunch box. Only fail was the wheelie bar should have been chromed to complete the full look. The tail lights seem to be a issues on other videos the tail lights keep popping out. Glad to did not take it to the skate park. I believe you showed it off it its true natural environment fields of grass backyards some payment running. Great video
