The sad part is that I was planning on getting FIFA 19 this December, but due to my TV being broken, I'm not buying it. And seeing as these points are progressively becoming more true each game, I might just quit and keep playing FIFA 15 seeing as that's the only game I've played out that keeps me entertained in the series. PES, to me, looks more fun in the sense that there was more feel and more fun in what you could do in individual career. It looks more immersive, and you are able to make decisions on where you want to play, what traits you can learn, and what positions you can learn how to play. I played PES 2018, and it felt more realistic than FIFA 18. I love FIFA, but it does get frustrating knowing that the fun things about FIFA that were there before are no longer in the game.

I was thinking Fifa 18 gameplay was bad... but boy oh boy, this is... incredible. It's just so random and makes so little sense ... 75 OVR non-rare silver scoring a goal with scissors from outside the box, GK either being a god or a shmock that can't catch a ball, midfield passing like Modric in his best form just to pass straight to opponent 10 seconds later and forwards not scoring on 1 on 1, but scoring 2 incredibly impossible goals with weaker foot 2 minuts later, the list can go on and on. I can't understand the pursue for the game to always be "on the edge". This leads to even 4:0 not being a safe result, as your defence might just turn into bunch of schoolboys that run into each other and faul your opponent without even being controlled, leading to penalties and a red card, ending the game in 4:4 with 20-4 shot ratio and 65-35 ball posession. And 3/4 games end up with equalizer/winner being scored in 88-92 minute. Yes, all that happened to me today in rivals in literally like 4 games. EA is insane.

This is the second FIFA I haven't bought in a row. The game isn't bad, the gameplay just becomes boring after a while because it's really repetitive. And while new teams, players and stadiums will get me going for a month or so again, I'm not putting down 60€ for that. I wouldn't mind if it was a subscriber based thing, like paying 60€ for the game itself and then a smaller sum a year, but 60€ a year is ridiculous. (Which you could maybe achieve with Origin Access Premium, but only if you play the other games.) And that's the problem with FIFA, they promote it as a new game. But due to the short time span they actually work on this 'new' game, in which they mostly try to make it appear differently, it actually doesn't feel so hands-on.

Even winning is not making fun anymore. Sometimes i feel the scripting when i'm scoring, too. The last good FIFA games without scripting were FIFA 08, 09, 10 and 11. After these games they started with FUT. The biggest money machine that EA has. Im playing FIFA since 1998, trust me i can tell if a game is scripted. In FIFA 11 i had a match balance of 200 wins, 30 draws and 20 defeats in the FIFA Online Season. I guess thats a pretty good result. In FIFA 18 i had 250 wins, 80 draws an 80 defeats. Now someone will say that's a good result too or you have to play better. But what i see is, that if you compare this two results EA achieved someting. They achieved that i played a lot of more matches. The reason for this is, that EA wants the game to be attractive for everyone and it don't has to become boring. Im talking about a big range of ages, that have to stay satisfied with FIFA. From the small kids to someone in the 30s or from the FIFA Pros to the Noobs. When i lost a game in FIFA 11, because of a better opponent or he was lucky. The matches ended 1:2 oder 0:1 or 0:3. But today i lose a game 5:6 in the 90th min. Come on guys, you know what i'm talking about. Bugs are part of the gaming history and they will always exist. If a bug happened in the old FIFA games , you were able to catch up a result or even win the match. Even when you lost a match because of a bug, the next 20 matches where bugless. Nowdays the say the game has bugs, altough the are updating the game every 2 months. In the late 2000s there were less updates durnig a season and the games were better. They took a very good gaming line like FIFA and ruined it, just to make more money. I would be happy if there was just one Online-Mode without scripting in it. In FIFA 17 you were able to play the Virtuel Bundesliga for 3 mounths, there was no scripting at all, or the Interactiv World Cup. Today both modes are parte of the FUT. We have to give up the romantic idea of an unscripted FIFA game. The FIFA gaming line is selling to well, and the people will still buy it the next years. I lost my hopes, that something will change in the next years. I'm to old to be mucked around. I guess i'm to old for this s*th.

You could get an extra 25 at least with all the problems with the Youth Acedemy on FIFA. -Palyers aren't listed in thier position. CDM's are only good at defending or good at everything but defending, CB's have better long shots than marking. Strikers have better crossing than finishing and vise versa for wimgers are some examples. -The name pool is terrible. In one month of scouting you can get two Oliver Braun's, an Andreas Böhm, and an Oliver Böhm. Like there is only two family's living in Germany. -Everyone is short, for the most part. -The May Bump. If players in your acedemy were in it from April 30th overnight, they're technical and mental stats will skyrocket, but not your physical stats. Basically, a defender would get technical stats more realistic for his position, but his physicals never improve. If on April 30th you have a 15 year old 90-94 potential player, his career will be destoyed the next day. -You can only scout select countries. -Physical stats typically never improve if you promote a player 50 overall or better. -Players don't cosmetically look like their ethnicities. Indian regens and YA players are white as with Middle Eastern and African countries, whereas predominantly white countries will have darker skin toned players. And although there is always a possibility of a white guy playing for Senegal, not every soccer player from Senegal, is white. But according to fifa it is. -CB regenerated players are uselessly short. Who is going to play 5' 8" centre backs? No one. -When you've purchased a regen, it is rare their physicals will go up that season or any season. -If you enquire about say a "showing great potential" player (a player who has a potential of 80-84) and it is really cheap. It is best not to by that player because when they in join your team, they will never improve in any stat even again, with the exception of reactions. -Goalkeepers tend to be a height on the short end of what is usual. -Skill moves and especially weak foot stats tend to be quite low. And this is increased if the player is the regenerated player of an icon. So Kunie Kitamoto's regen will have 3 star weak feet while Eto's will have one star. -Same thing goes for work rates. Lower amount of energy and tenacity the better the player. -Training a YA or regen to much can mess up their physicals into not improving. -It is possible to get a player with one star weak foot but 5 star skill moves. Doesn't make much sense. -You are never getting a 5 star weak foot and 5 star skill moves player unless you are extremely lucky. -You might get a period of time where no goalkeepers have come back in any reports, and then the next month of reports comes back with about 3. This might vary with some games. But throughout my FIFA expieriences with the Youth Acedemy, this have been the real annoyances. Did I do 25?

100% agree with you there! Especially the whole not being able to dribble past defenders. And the first touch system. There's actually no difference between having Messi and Andy Carroll. At least with Carroll you can score a load of headers. A players stats should dictate their first touch, if they can dribble past a player etc. You've also got Kroos with 90+ passing who can't even complete a 3 yard pass sometimes. It's shambolic. Also, please EA, bring back legacy defending.

They sit deep and then counter with uncontainable passes with their bronze cards on 2 chemistry like Pirlo on steroids and then either bang them in top bins from outside the box or put in a perfect cross which you can do nothing about as you just sit there knowing the goal is coming 12 seconds before it actually happens. The last time I played a really good game of FIFA and felt the excitement of scoring a goal or the intensity of trying to win a game in extra time...................FIFA 07. Even the GUI in that game was fantastic with real photo shots and backgrounds of stadiums, crowds and atmosphere. Remember hearing the crowd chanting on the home screen.

They really need to chill out on the special cards. They're not that special if everyone has them. Champions Leagues, IFs, ridiculous POTMs, OTWs, Scream cards, mental swap cards (4 Januzaj? 86 Lallana? Really?). It just makes the pay to win gap even wider, which I know is kind of the point since they've disclosed pack odds and still want people to pay money for pixels on a screen, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating.
