For softer stuff I think I can definitely get a few gigs out of it and not have to worry as much!

Glad I could clear the waters! This trumpet has a nice sound in my opinion but it’s a little more niche than a typical trumpet sound. Different overtone patterns, etc. The player amplifies these tendencies but they are certainly there.

@@SamuelPlaysBrass For me it goes off note fairly quickly and has a tendency to more "bass" sounds. The difference between a ballerina and a wrestler. Not delicate and missing a certain sense of gentility found in more expensive.

Bach claims that having a water key on the 3rd slide can harm some of the resonances on the pitches that use the 3rd valve. I can’t speak to how true or significant the effects are, but I did feel a very strong and stable slot on 3rd valve low E on the Yamaha YTR-5330, which did not have a water key on the slide, and the same goes for my Bach 229CL.
