Watching the ending part again because after 7 years, i think i am finally understanding this film on a deeper level. Noong nirelease 'to, pinanood ko agad sa sine. Pero noon, nalungkot lang ako dahil di sila nagkatuluyan. Now, i think it hurts because its realistic. Fidel was a selfless person. So inlove, he's willing to do everything, anything for Stella. And Stella knew that. But she knew herself and her vices, and she loved Fidel enough to know that he do not deserve to be used or to be hurt by her. Alam niyang magulo ang buhay niya, at hindi niya gustong isama doon si Fidel. Stella was immature in a lot of things, but i think Stella is more matured when it comes to love. She knew to let go of Fidel and not take advantage of him, saying "Hindi ko naman deserve maging mundo mo." But if Fidel was the one she met and not Von, i think she would let him love her. Pero iba ang dumating. While Fidel was comfortable in his desk, love poems while imagining Stella, Stella was being beaten by life. Tulad nga nang sinabi ni Stella, hindi sinasalamin ng mga huling tula ni Fidel kung ano talaga ang buhay niya, kung sino talaga siya. It's like a whole romanticized version of her. He learned a lesson the hard way. Their goodbyes was so hard but a very meaningful one. Sana may ganitong closure ang lahat nang maiiwan at mang iiwan. A very clear and mature ending. And i love that they gave Fidel a sweet new beginning. And Stella a life she is happy about. Para sa mga Fidel ngayon, usad na. Maging matatag para sa sarili. Sabi nga ni Fidel, "Meron pa namang ibang chance. Paghandaan na lang natin nang maigi." Praying for a stronger us, able to conquer tomorrow ✊

This will never be not painful, not our typical Filipino film that always have a "happy ending" where they end up with each other, but that's how life is. It's not just about the destination but also the journey, not all the people whom we'll ride together on our way will be the people we'll end up being together, sometimes they are just part of the journey. I will never forget this movie, this was the movie that inspires me to make poems for my crush way back in 2020 and it was successful, after that i made 200 poems for her around 1-2 months to give it on her 18th birthday. But COVID came. And it was unsuccessful, and now she's studying in NU MOA which is 800 miles from where i am. Now i make poems for my epic fantasy novel, hoping it will be published and be read by many.

The ending was not too painful for me, kahit hindi sila nagkatuluyan ni Stella okay lang. She really was only part of Fidel's journey, sa totoong buhay ganito talaga sabi nga nila "may pangmatagalan at mga dumadaan lang". Atleast at the end of the story we knew that Fidel was stronger and natuto sa mga nangyari, baka kasi iba talaga ang nakalaan sa kanya. Ang ganda talaga ng Pinoy movies, sana marami pa tumangkilik ng ganito at makilala pa sa ibang bansa.

Wow, this was a roller coaster of emotions. Fidel’s an amazing character so sweet, kind, selfless and generally nice, which really made me envy Stella. This movie also proves that first love hurts a lot, and as we move on we see at the end that Fidel became more stronger - from a ‘pebble’ to a ‘boulder’ as he wrote in his poem. I love this film and the characters like the beat boxer friend, Danica, and Fidel’s father too. This is beautifully made.

Maybe yong iba nakakaya nilang mag moveon agad. pero ung iba umaabot pa ng years bago makalaya sa sakit ng pag ibig na lumipas na. yon po siguro ung pinagkaiba kapag minahal mo at minahal ka din ng sobra, sobra din ung sakit. hayaan mo lang ate na ang oras at panahon ang mag hilom ng mga sugat ng nakaraang pag ibig mo. buksan mo yong isip, mata at puso sa mundo para makita mo din ung halaga ng iba at yong halaga mo para sa mga taong nakapaligid sayo. mahirap talagang mabura ung unang pag ibig. pero mas mahirap makulong sa rehas ng nakaraan. laban lang ate. love lots

Tbh, I saw your comment earlier and I didn’t know how to respond since I’ve never had any official relationships before, so I thought it would be better if someone else answered your question. So, I’d like to thank kuya John Ablir for that well-written response. But I also kept thinking about it, so here are my thoughts (I might get off topic): All I can say is that time heals the wounds of the past, and I think kuya John has already covered that concept. Like you, I also fell in love, but it was one-sided. He kept running in my head day and night, and in my dreams too (lol this is too corny soz). When he got his now ex-bf… damn, it hurts a lot on the chest to the point that I couldn’t sleep at night and if I did, it was because I was tired of crying. I have to admit, this might sound too dramatic but it really happened, and I was also young at that time. After a few months carrying the pain and sadness, I learnt to accept it as I was tired of what I was doing to myself, honestly. Ngl, he’s a wonderful person if you get to meet him, almost like the mc of this movie, Fidel. I have to admit that I still love him in a way like back then, but this time it’s just a small fire - just a bit. I thought about his happiness at that time. If he’s happy then I’m happy for him too. So, by showing my uttermost love is by respecting him and supporting him too as a friend because he deserves it after all - to be loved. In another case, my aunt had somewhat a similar situation like yours, I think. I remember when I was really young, she and her ex-bf had problems with their LDR. So, the guy called it off. Up until this day, she still carries that pain and one day I later found her crying in her room when she found out that the guy finally had a family (so much for those promises he made tsk!). Now, another guy recently came in but he’s not a decent one since he prioritized his ‘best friend’, my aunt’s cousin who’s a full grown woman who still meddles with someone else’s love affair, and she already has a bf and a child to take care of. We, as her family, advices her to dump him since we saw he wasn’t fitting for her and we believe she deserves an even more better person than him. She did, but now unfortunately she hasn’t been herself lately. She’s receiving professional help and also emotional support from us too. In conclusion, there are a few fortunate relationships that do work, but we have to consider that the majority falls out eventually. Also, please do remember that there are people around you who loves you even more and are worried about you. I’d suggest to find an interest that makes you happy, maybe create a new hobby like arts to take your mind off of things; or perhaps play online games to let out your frustrations out. Whatever suits you. Mine is simply just admiring Harry Styles through my phone lol. Keep fighting ate! Know your worth! I hope this helps (or maybe not) just know you’re not alone ٩( 'ω' )و

Ginawa ko rin yang 100 poems noong senior high school ako, inspired by this movie, unfortunately di rin naman kame nagkatuluyan. Pero ayos lang, college ginawa ko ulit for a different woman, better na rin yong mga gawa ko then may songs pa to accompany each poem. Super underrated movie. This has actually good storyline. Quality movie and deserves to have an award. Bela Padilla and JC Santos are very underrated. I have been rewatching this film for 2 years already. And this is, and will remain as one of the best local movies of all time. The fact na naghihintayan lang pala sila in the end, tang ina ang sakit. Lalo’t alam ko na yung feeling. Kasi the same thing is happening to me rn. I have liked this person for a long time until I decided na wag na lang hayaang maggrow yyng feelings ko dahil parang wala naman siyang balak magustuhan ako. So at time passed by I happened to meet another person and I eventually fell. Only for me to find out from a mutual friend, na yung taong matagal ko nang gusto, matagal na rin pala akong gusto. Sobrang natatakot lang daw sya sabihin. Natotorpe. And that I am to good daw para sa kaniya. Hindi ko raw siya deserve. Baliw pa naman daw siya. And that hurt like hell. Like just imagine if just one of us dared to move, dared to confess, ang saya siguro natin ngayon. And now, we’re on the verge of losing our friendship due to some reasons din. Sakit puta:’))

It has the same vibes of 500 days of summer, the main character is romanticising. 😥 From 1:26:01 to 1:27:01, it says it all. He's not inlove on the real life Stella, He's inlove on the Stella he perceived. The way he doesn't include how miserable her life is on his poems makes it infatuation not love, he's not listening and looking on the reality. Fidel is inlove in the idea of Stella.

Naalala ko 5 years ago pinanuod namin to ng ex girlfriend ko and naiyak kaming dalawa. Nangako kami sa isat isa na di mangyayare samin dalawa yan at di namin bibitawan ang isat isa. Mahilig kami manuod ng malulungkot na movies lagi kami naiyak. Fast forward now 1 year na kaming hiwalay, mag kakaanak na siya sa bago niya and me still trying to get better, to move on, to rebuild myself again. totoo pala angandaaa! and angaling ng gumawa neto, kudos senyo!!, ganito yung mga typical na kwento nuon na di nagkakatuluyan kahit gaano kagusto nila isa't isa kasi nga baka di tlga tinadhana, may mga pangyayari na simple lang naman pero hindi tlga e, parang alam nyo yun na may hadlang kahit di naman ganun kabigat yung balakid hay, masakit pero kelangan tlg tanggapin ang katotohanan ng buhay. Ganda pati ng songs sa dulo. Isa pa sa nagustuhan ko dito yung course nila kasi yun yung course ko haha.

this has been my comfort movie during my college days. 🤍 and hindi ko na mabilang kung pang ilang nood ko na sa movie na ito. it was a bittersweet film that really portrayed college love. how most of us learned how to love and how it actually feels like. rewatched it again now that I have graduated college for over 4 years, and this film still doesn’t fail to make me cry. Someone told me that his favorite movie is the "100 tula para kay stella", that someone is a guy that thousand miles far from me, a very introvert someone that I met from online i can see the loneliness from his words from our conversation but also the willingness to stay what we have. Just finish watching this movie, it really make me into a lot of tears one of the reason why because I saw Fidel with a lot of similarities with the someone that i know the one who told me about his favorite movie which this, I want to talk to him right now i don't want him to hurt as how's Fidel felt the very hurt pain. This movie makes me realize a lot at the same time makes me burst into multiple tears.

I was 16 when i watched this movie in the cinema. And now I watched it again, and it hits different. Mas lalo kong naintindihan ang kwento. Basta gusto talaga natin ang isang tao, kahit alam nating hindi na puwede, itatanong pa rin talaga natin kung "wala na ba talaga?". When I watched it 6 years ago, I hated Stella. But now, naiintindihan ko siya, she also likes Fidel, kaso ayaw niyang gamitin lang si Fidel dahil lang sa magulo ang buhay niya.

Idk but this movie remind me about sa first crush ko back then when i was a freshman , actually elementary ko pa sya crush and nag grow lang ung feelings ko nung mag first year kami but un nga hindi kami magkaklase nasa third floor sya and nasa second floor ako. Gustong gusto ko talaga sya that time to the point na ginawan ko na sya ng tula pero syempre may mga verse don na medyo sadgirl ako kasi nga , kahit anong papansin ko sakanya na icheck sya tuwing vacant sa room nya. Ay di manlang nya napapansin , minsan naririnig ko na inaasar sya sa iba which is may iba siyang crush and kauwi ko nag ooverthink ako kung ipapatuloy ko paba yung nararamdaman ko for him . One time my bestfriend help me gawa daw kami love letter ilalagay lang daw nya "secret admirer " and ibigay daw nya sa crush ko also yung bracelet at keychin with his first letter on it na binili ko. Kaya yun binigay ng bestfriend ko ansaya ko non kasi mababasa nya na pero di nya nabasa eh, nakita ko kinuha ng bully niyang kaibigan at pinagtatawanan kaya nainis ako that time also nasaktan kasi binalik ng crush ko yung bracelet at keychin na binigay ko . I feel sad but happy at the same time kasi nafeel nya na may nagkakagusto sakanya, pero sumuko din ako kasi i know na walang pag asa kasi may nagugustohan siyang iba and feel ko din naman na wala siyang gusto saakin even though hindi kami makaibigan or close , napakwento tuloy ako wala lang nakakatuwa lang na may first love ako before and ang rare ko magmahal before i wish mahanap ko soon yung taong mabibigyan ko din ng love letters ulit . Pero yon nga sabi sa " 100 Tula para kay Stella " na hindi nga kayo magkakatuloyan ng taong gusto mo depende nalang talaga , pero di ako malungkot no naalala ko lang jhs life ko before HAHAHA . I can't believe na yung story na to is ipapaalala saakin yung pure love na binibigay natin sa tao , goodjob bella and jc!!
