What I would do differently is use the phones rear cameras. They are better than the front facing camera. Nice setup for a great price, and you definitely explained everything really well.

I think the only reason he used the front facing camera is to display his face while showing the set up because they alway recommend using the rear camera.

Great point! I decided to use the front camera for convenience since it allows me to see myself while filming, but you're absolutely right-the rear camera offers much better quality.

Having a clip on microphone is better than holding the mic. Looks weird, but that’s just my consumer opinion.

I’ve been studying a lot of creators on YT and IG and it seems to contribute to better to performance. Likely because of the natural slight movements of the hand. Also those cheaper lab mics rub against clothing and sound bad. Sounds better being held.

I bought a tripod for my iPad and I love it. Its height adjustable and stores compact. I keep the top of it in frame for most of my videos because I don’t like trying to hide that I have notes. I found it on Amazon.

For that budget and situation a wired lav mic like the boya by-m1 would probably give you better sound than a cheap wireless. Unless you are unfortunate enough to have no 3.5mm jack. In which case, sucks to be you.

It’s really good there is some good alternatives to really budget friendly options. Just wondering if maby the audio on the phone is good enought instead of buying something that doesent Even make it all that much better.
