I have tried the Beekman bar soap before. Because I take baths, it left a heavy greasy bathtub ring that was really hard to clean off. If that is so hard to scrub off my tub, I couldn’t Imagine how that was coating my water pipes. I’m 61 & just use Aveeno liquid cleanser.

I received a lot of Beekman Bar Soaps during my last Holiday, as they came in the hotel gift bathskets, and both traveling and at home I used them in bathtubs without that experience. They were better on my hair than using shampoo/conditioner. I'm a decade younger, and usually use Goat Milk Soap or some variety of handmade bar soap.

100% agreed. Just call your bank and dispute the charge. Their mistake, their problem. If they want the calendar back, they can send a shipping label. And with a charge back, you get your money back much sooner. If you do nothing, you are allowing the company to knowingly steal from you. It doesn’t matter if it was originally an error, the moment they refused to refund you, they chose to steal your money. If they did this to you, how many other people did they do it to?

I purchased the Beekman calendar for the first time in 2024 and I fell in love with their products. My skin feels fantastic and so far none of their products irritate my highly sensitive skin. I will be 60 in about a month and I've never gotten so many compliments on my skin. The body creme and soaps are wonderful also. The soaps leave me feeling squeaky clean with no residue feel but after I dry off my skin feels super smooth and silky - the magic of goat milk? In my research on the brand I have found out that the goatie pins are highly collectible and sought after by those who are super fans of Beekman. Also, I received a different goatie pin than yours in my calendar. If it wasn't just a mistake and they put different pins in every calendar that is so fun! Thanks for another great video!

I was going to comment on the pin! Enamel pin collecting is huge right now in the music scene. I follow several artists that make unique, one of a kind pins for bands. Some of them go for hundreds of dollars! Pins are great because they are small and easy to hang on to vs a poster or larger merch item.

This was my second year buying Beekmans adventure calendar and both years were wonderful. I love their products now. I had never heard of them before last year. I am so glad I tried them out!

I’ve never tried any of their body products other than a hand cream that was quite nice. But I use their Dewy Eyed Eye Cream and Bloom Cream. I can’t use the Bloom Cream as my AM moisturizer because it makes my face look kinda greasy, but after letting it sit all night, my face is so soft the next morning.

This. Pricing is usually different in different countries. I’m in Canada and I often do the math on whether it’s better to spend the Canadian price at Sephora or American price + conversion and it’s usually a little cheaper to do Canadian (as long as there’s no US sales).

In addition to packaging materials, you can use that shredded paper and cardboard to make sheets of paper. It's really easy and fun! Maybe you could even use your custom made paper for labels or tags in your store. Then you're saving money and trees, and you have a new hobby.

I hate to admit but I do agree, I was sceptical about the brand and i tried to look up what the scandals were about but I couldn't find any to be honest. I received my first Avant cream through a beauty subscription and it actually did wonders to my skin. I do now use Avant Products and my skin has been the best ever, really cleared up and scars have faded. I used the Calendar value opportunity and bought two to save money as buying one cream at that price is way too much. I did the same last year to.

Yay! Advant calenders continue ❤ Jojoba beads are a wonderful manual exfoliate. They are very gentle on your skin and environment. It makes me feel like they did their research about what to use rather than just throwing popular ingredients in a bottle. Avant is a huge hit or miss for me. I have gotten good hand lotions, but I really don't care for their cleansers. I get better from Clinique. More to your point of making your own lip scrub: you can buy castor oil, jojoba oil and baker's sugar, all incredibly great ingredients for lip scrub, for 1/4 the price and have enough to make enough scrub for you and the whole family for a year!

I love the goat calendar, it's so cute each year that you've unboxed it. I only use makeup on rare occasions (maybe once every 3 months, if that) and usually only because I have no eyebrows thanks to my thyroid, but I am obsessed with watching her unboxings. I think what I like most is that she is so honest and will also not edit out a lot of her mistakes/blunders. A lot of other youtubers make sure their videos are so perfect but Allie makes hers so that it feels like she's a good friend you're video chatting with rather than someone just talking to a camera.

I think Avant are super suspect. 1. They aren't sold in any fancy shops, just on their website and in subscription boxes. 2. On their website they have an address for their "shop". But if you look it up it's not a shop, it's an office block. I don't think they are committing any crimes, but I think they only exist for subscription boxes and advent calendars to claim a high value.

Hello Alexandria! My mom's actually been using avant for a while now. There is one of these subscription boxes, where you pick the items you get each month, ipsy-style. The items sell for absurdly low prices - most of the products go for 10 bucks if you pick them. Tbf she is pretty pleased with the products and keeps repurchasing. Just a note from someone who works in marketing/ecommerce- SO many of the "awards" you see promoted, such as universal beauty awards (although I guess I'm not sure about that one specifically) are 100% pay-to-win. While the product is still sent to the awards company to try before "awarding," its still basically a stamp of approval youre paying for, not earning by any means.

The only blue volcanic rock I know of is blue obsidian, but you wouldn't want to put that in a cleanser, as it would be like putting glass that's sharper than glass in it. I only know it exists because I'm originally from Idaho, and it can be found at one of our national parks. I had some when I was a kid. It's called blue dragon obsidian. My best friend is a rock hound, and has polished some as well.

Hey Alexandria, just want to say I love your videos 💕 as an animal lover myself, the goat milk one didn't sit right with me. As someone who loves goats, I had to make my actions align with what I was feeling, and paying for their baby's milk so a baby goat goes without is heartbreaking. Not to mention the boy goats that are not useful in the goat milk industry. Please reconsider products that cause great animal suffering.

I got the P. Louise one, too! I can't wait for Allie to open that one!!! After I ripped into everything all at once, like a 7 year old on Christmas morning, I used those adorable train cars and numbered boxes to make an Advent calendar for my 88 year old mama. She absolutely loved it and enjoyed getting a prezzie every day. (We've never had advent calendars before, so it was a treat for both of us and I loved being able to reuse the train and boxes! I packed them back up again for next year.) Plus the train looked so cute sitting under the tree. A bit spendy, but not for everything I got. 😊 I love P. Louise!

I remember watching The Beekman calendar opening last year and I found it slightly boring. I think when you do non-US calendars, you should look up product prices in the same country/currency as the calendar, because simply doing the conversion will be off (a lot of stuff is comparatively cheaper in US prices than you can get it in Europe)

The Avant calendar is insane… I was keeping up and looking up similar items on Dior Beauty (which is what I use the most) and Avant is as expensive or MORE EXPENSIVE than Dior Beauty! Crazy

Hi from Oregon! Meadow foam is grown here and I’ve seen it popping up in a lot of skin care. They also have meadow foam honey that is fantastic. You can see the bee hives in the fields which I thought was kinda cool. That’s the only one I recognized though in those ingredients. 😂 I love your videos and always look forward to them. ❤
