I was natural for over 10 years, it’s hard to talk about because honestly I just wasn’t happy when I was natural it was so much work, took hours to do a style that would only last 1 day. I relaxed last year and I’m never turning back lol! My hair has a little texture to it so I can still do braid outs. Do what makes you HAPPY!

Sometimes if the front braids are a little too tight or there was a lot of tension it causes these white spots. I get those or pimples from products used sometimes after a braid sesh. Things that made it better 1. Looser braids 2. Cleaning forehead off during appointment and after(maybe even an acne mask for prevention).

No but Derin I totally understand your Natural Hair confusion. Like I was the same for years because you get crucified for relaxing your hair (despite the fact that brands have come along way and there are so many safe alternatives). I hadn’t relaxed my hair for 4 -5 years before 2021 and was always frustrated when styling it or trying to look after it. I hated putting gel in my natural hair, didn’t know how to fleek my baby hairs to save my life and didn’t always have the funds to have a nice wig to hide it under or have it done always. I always deeped conditioned my hair , sprayed Avene thermale water in my hair to keep it moisturised, texturised it occasionally to keep it manageable and soft and wore my synthetics 🤣. When I finally permed / relaxed my hair in 2021, oh my word, 😌 it had grown so much, looked so healthy and amazing and everyone kept complimenting me saying my hair was absolutely, naturally beautiful: I absolutely loved it. I have now decided to relax my hair once a year with good alternatives and the rest of that year, protective hair styles 😍. Moral of the story: Do whatever works for you, because natural hair fatigue is real but nonetheless, we need to come out of that stigma of “relaxed hair is the devil” 😅😂

someone can tell me not to relax my hair when they are the one who brushes it out for 30 minutes every morning. i think you should do whatever feels right for you. i stopped relaxing my hair recently just because my hair texture has randomly become looser and its easier for me to brush now but I would never judge anyone for doing what they want with their hair.

Something on business communications and career management in early career would be cool! Would love to know about the process of getting brought back for a second season. If you had to inquire or they offered and what made them want you back besides phenomenal performance?!
