I'm a fan of the C3, myself, but this car looks - and sounds - completely wicked. Good job, Tom.

There is not a single thing about that car I don't like. Great job to whomever built that car!

That car is way sick. Looks awesome, sounds and runs awesome. I have an 81 and love the look. I wish I had the money to trick mine out like that. In kalifornia were not allowed to have anything near the HPs of this beauty. I am so jealous. Great job on the car and a very well shot vid.

Kali wouldn't even allow a crate 383. I am going to see if there is a way but I'm not holding my breath. The 190 HP Chevy put in the late C3's is unbelievably under powered. This car is a beauty and I envy the owner. I think all that power in the wrong hands like me would be a glove box full of exhibition tickets.

I'm pretty sure you can do something like that in Cali,as long as the car meets all those ridiculous emission requirements over there.Remember older cars like this one had no emissions equipment from the factory,no smog pumps,cats,O2 sensors,etc.The thing now is many custom builders actually make these monsters with insane horsepower numbers that meet and exceed emissions laws in all 50 states.Expensive but worth it with this Vette.Now all I need is at least 100K to starton mine.

what kind of seats are those? im looking for bucket seats for my 79 corvette, everything is to big.
@VettemanLT512 жыл бұрын
That would be the L-48...the L-82 had 220 or 225 during the late 70's and then went to 230 for 1980.That was the last of the non-computer-controlled Corvette.But at least you could get it with a 4-speed.

@akshaybhonsle "it's a C2" Yes. Did you see the "but" in my comment?

Heh heh....it sucks that you can't get something done over there so easily.I hope someday you can.Remember where there's a will there's a way.

If a car was built pre 1974, it doesn't have to meet jack-shit apart from noise restrictions. Emissions doesn't apply. :)

120k could almost buy a loaded new ZR1. Sell if there's a buyer. It's is a nice car but...
