It's advantage and disadvantage for both, living an apartment is a burden becuase of noise, parking and unexpected increase fee. But living in apartment has less responsibility in comparison to owning a house. Having a house is a wonderful thing but you will have to pay for much much more, High mortgage, house repairs, interest rates, garbage or sewage and keeping up the lawn . If there's house repairment issue, the bills is extremely high. Both living in a house or apartment, you will have to pay in the end regardless your health condition. If prefer to buy a house, the only way to succeed is to pay off the house debt as soon as possible to prevent unforeseen health condition and chaos.

A lot more problems will be happened eventhough you have your own home or retirement. I have been in the US almost 50 years worked 30 years with high tech company and retired over 15 years but I still have had a lot more problems to solve for living and I still cannot afford to use iphone like Khmer citizen in Cambodia. Lady you are honestly absolutely truth about life in the USA. Think about hundred thousand homeless in the US and why? 😢😢😢

You’re giving out wrong information. If you break your contract you lose your deposit… but, it doesn’t go on your credit. The only time it does is if you get evicted.. meaning you refuse to leave when you are ask/told to leave by the landlord without legal right to be there.

Yeah it’s only if and when you get evicted. If you break your contract and they keep the deposit. It’s written in the deposit. You don’t owe them anything because they keep the deposit. But if you were living there with no contract or not paying rent.. after 90 days they can legally evict you and get courts and police involved .. and then… at that point it will effect your credit because it’s court ordered. If you break your contract and they keep your deposit but they still try to report you.. feel free to sue them. Because they can’t do that.. you didn’t do anything wrong. If you finance a car of course it’s on your credit because you are due the amount and they aren’t holding any deposit from you. That is the reason for the deposit. It’s to protect you and the landlord.

If you dont have the money, filled a small claim. No matter if you clean the room, you still dont get the deposit back. It happened to me long ago. I clean the apartment because i thought i would get my deposit back. I went to the cleaner and ask for a paper saying my apartment is clean. I got it. The apartment manager told us that we destroy the apartment. I got a paper saying i have to pay for damages. I filed a lawsuit and told them if my credit go bad, ill take you to court. Im so lucky the cleaner gave me the paper. He told me that they always charge everybody. I got my money back and good credit.
