In this video we'll be making an insanely bright water-cooled LED light that looks remarkably similar to sunlight!
This is because it uses a high quality LED from Yuji which as a high colour rendering index (CRI). Since its completion this project has been used to light every single one of my videos! It's just that good!

Excellent video! Superb light output with the reflector & lens. You forgot to add the link to the lens in the video description area. I just used a 100W LED for a project not on YT. The same generic one you show which includes a really nice aluminum enclosed 20-40V driver for under $12.

Something to keep in mind if you build this is that computer water cooling solutions are intended for the radiator to be higher than the pump. They are not filled 100% with water (there is some air headroom) and so having the pump above the radiator means that it is often dealing with the air bubble in the system, which reduces cooling. Especially if you mount this to a wall, make sure the light and pump are below the radiator for maximum cooling.

That AIO is gonna die really fast in that configuration. Air bubbles will rise to the pump from the resovoirs in the radiator ends, causing it to burn out

The level of the pump must be lower than the level of the radiator. In this way the air from the aio will be in the radiator not in the pump. Air in the pump will damage the pump in time.

If you want to keep the rigidity of the frame, but also have it mountable on bookshelves, you make two tabs with your angle bar and hinge them on the radiator side. That way if you put it on a bookshelf the bars should retract into itself, and if you want to set it on a table, just pull them out. You probably also need to round out the edges that hinge to the radiator side as well to keep it from locking up. Great job. I'm definitely going to build this puppy.

I think placing the fan upside down (exhaust up) will provide lower temps as heat tends to go upwards anyways. What you are doing now is pushing the hot air down which will eventually come up again. As this is not a pc case and is in an open air environment the impact wont be huge, but I am sure that you will notice a small thermal benefit.

+DIY Perks Already 61 thumb downs... What is it with this hate in principal ? Sir, I watched every single DIY project of yours. Tried the "Leaf-Lamp" and "Shard-Light" by myself. They are wonderful ideas and even became gifts. Creative, functional, simple and wonderful to have. Personaly i'm not realy into photography but if even the thought of doing so was in my mind than first of al it would be to make the equipment you are presenting. The way your videos are made, how you speak, explain, show and guide is lovely, straight forward, simple and smooth to follow. Go on with this channel and show your talents. Your work gives us beautiful gimmicks, makes people happy and surely saves some money without compromising!

I don't care much for the LED light, but I really like how you did the video about making it. That's some great lighting, camera work, editing, and commentary. Big thumbs up! Pleasure to watch.

Anybody watching while high? Am I the only thinking "How much what it cost for you to just make it?" Then I thought the dude is in England. It's gonna cost alot. Then I am about to change channel and I can't cuz I'm enthralled with his soothing voice.

I was even into doing a water cooled version of his previous sun blaster but I liked it the way he set the power circuits here better, keep up the good work!

I'm jealous now - this build is just genius! :-) Btw: For 30V of LED voltage you would need a 9S LiPo at least (8,3S at 3,6V/cell discharge end). So a step up regulator is the more convenient solution... ;-)

I literally just bought all the stuff to convert my led from aircooled to water cooled using alot of the same stuff you did. Instead of using a radiator, I'm using a 1 gallon resevoir as a heat sink and a 12v pump to get flow. I'm hoping to mount it onto of my car to make the ultimate light bar.

I made something similar, with the 120mm radiator used you actually don't need to use the fan as passive cooling of the radiator alone is enough to keep the LED cool. although depending on the density and thickness of the radiator used in the all in one liquid cooling solution you choose your results may be different. I love you shared your data! I plan on upgrading mine with your bracket design!

Like, I literally will never do this, norwill I ever do any of your videos, as it doesn't really benefit me etc. But regardless, I still watch it because who knows? idk, you make it entertaining even though I don't really care about said project, quite a gift lol.
