It is obvious that hybrids or plug-in hybrids are not meant for highway long long driving. Diesel is nice for that. Hybrids are meant for short distances, work, home, shop, some longer areas, etc. They work best in those field, not for going one city to another, my friend so it is no brainer that you get less

Realistically in all seasons as average it will top out at about 100km which is still, quite good. Curious to see how this powertrain will do on the cupra formentor.

Please, 1001cars, when you do the usual city/highway test, do both an "empty" battery and an electric only version. For older PHEVs, electric highway range didn't matter that much, because you didn't get far anyway. But I've seen a test of CarManiac, who did more than 90 km with the new Passat PHEV, half of it on the german Autobahn. So I'm really curious how far you get with the Superb at constant 90/120/140 km/h with the bigger battery, improved efficiency and reduced drag coefficient.

In Germany, the Passat eHybrid starts at 50'320 EUR. There is no Superb iV yet in the configurator, but the list price of the base Passat Variant 1.5 eTSI is only ~400 EUR above the Superb Combi. Interestingly, the 5-door Superb starts 3000 EUR above the Combi. In the Hungarian configurator, the Superb starts at 35'400/36'400 EUR. And here, the combi costs more. Passat starts at 41'800. Totally different price politics in Germany and Hungary. But these are list prices. I'd guess you can get more discount where there is more "air" in the list price.

Ciekawe na ile by to zmieniło zużycie. I jeszcze jestem ciekaw bo tam trakcie jazdy zapaliła się kontrola oleju - co to oznacza?
@1001cars6 ай бұрын

@@1001cars A jeśli mógłbym jeszcze zapytać o parę spraw. Pozdrowienia

@@1001cars już pisze. Gość z autocentrum zrobił test nowego Tiguana 1.5 plug-in.
@1001cars6 ай бұрын

I'd assume so. On the highway, it should consume less due to the reduced drag coefficient (0,28 -> 0,25 for the combi). In the city, it should consume less, because even with empty batteries it drives electric much of the time. And we've seen that it is more efficient electric only. Of course I'm also eager to see actual measurement results.

Even if the Superb plug-in is 200 kg heavier than the normal one because of the plug-in stuff, the additional weight is only 150 kg.
