Li appears to have lost her baby fat and moves more fluidly, which is necessary if she wants to get more minutes with the Sky in the WNBA. Both Li and Liu appear to be traditional centers and are a good complement to Han who is clearly China's top center for the next decade. Li's vast international experience should give her the edge over Liu for the backup center role in the Paris Olympics next year.
Chinese centers definitely have the height advantage. The problem is whether their teammates can get them the ballinside. When Yao Ming played for the Rockets, he got fronted and had problems getting the ball inside. Chinese team needs good outside shooters to open up the middle. Chinese coaches don't seem to work on this advantage.
