Lock front and rear differentials to stop diffing out when tires leave the ground. Off-road surface may be the cause of the tire carnage. Love the videos!!

Another piece of advice: when you're doing high speed runs reduce your steering throw. If you look at top AA fuel dragsters they only have about 10 deg of lock to lock.
@Emtbtoday2 жыл бұрын
Same with the racing bike's they have an electronic hydraulic system attached to the bars makes steering stiffer when at high speed! That's how older cars were much better back in the day with heavier steering! My cozzie was a car that certainly befited from it!

Awesome video as always. I was thinking it might be worth running some very thick diff oil to reduce the risk of the unloaded wheel ballooning up and destroying the tyre. Also maybe thicker centre diff oil to reduce the front wheels spinning up, it could make the car pull wheelies easier though.

I freaking love Kevin! His videos give me my RC dopamine fix every day! Hey buddy, you should try the Proline badlands MX.28 Belted tires. They are bigger so you won't need as much wheel speed and they don't balloon. Rich Duperdash also uses them on his Typhon. I have yet to have one balloon or come unglued. You will love them. But you will need to buy the Aluminum 17mm hex adapters. Stay awesome Kevin. You're looking good. Looking a lot younger these days.

Hi Kev. Something to try when you belt your own tires is to use braided fishing line, it should be stronger (higher the kg/lbs test the stronger) and the braid makes it so it should absorb some of the glue so hopefully it’s not a full day endeavor

Kevin. A thought that may or may not work and may not exist. What if you fitted solid tyres? My thinking is if you could have the wheel and tyre made from one piece of aluminium (other materials may be better) then you wouldn't have any ballooning, you could just have very a very aggressive tread but your suspension would be doing ALL the work of taking the bumps. Given I have no idea about the next video and you may want to go faster anyway, I thought I'd just say in case it's useful. Also. Thanks for being there for us 😀 and we're always here for you. 😃👍

I just watched one of your earlier videos, i dont know if you remember this but you can put wire and tape inside the rim to stop it from balloning, also, when are you gonna rescue the boat from the lake with the underwater drone???
@ajr51952 жыл бұрын
Use braided fishing line around the exterior of the tires between the tread blocks to prevent the ballooning. Worth a try for a cheap price of entry
@kelleycook47532 жыл бұрын
i had no problem hauling arse in the grass with race truggy tires on my maxx v2, (response pros) side wall isnt as tall, less ballooning, might want to try 1/8 buggy race ones. but the grass here is on top of hard arse dirt at the moment in Texas.

Would bigger tires help? I belted some Stampede tires and put them on my old slash with 2200kv on 8s and it definitely woke it up on the grass. It does get hot quicker but if you are going for speed runs rather than an actual bash session it should be fine for a few passes. I'm not trying break any records but 87mph is my best on a 16yr old "backslash" off road and 123mph on the street.

Your going to need a center spool to keep the front and rear tires at the same speed.
@muskokamike1272 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you can see the traction bias by the wheelies. If anything it should be biased towards the front axles. If there's a centre diff, soon as the front looses traction all the power is delivered to the rear.
@youngsjoshua2 жыл бұрын
@@muskokamike127 it's actually the opposite. When the front tires unload all the power will go to the tire with the least resistance. Spooling the front, center, and rear will eliminate that power transfer. Problem is it will start breaking shafts when the tire comes back in to high grip at full power.
@josephglazier32862 жыл бұрын
Spools, and Maxx belted tires.
@lvhle042 жыл бұрын
@@muskokamike127 if it has centre differential, as soon as the front tires lift up, the rear is getting no power but the front tires will go to the moon
@zippycfpv36192 жыл бұрын
Muskogean mike, if a differential unloads, and spins a wheel, it’s not applying power to a loaded wheel with traction. This applies to a center diff as well. If the front tires get lifted and are getting no traction, they spin and the energy follows the path of least resistance, thus the expansion of the front tires and structural failure at extreme rpm.
@noobataiming2 жыл бұрын
nice i think u should wrap fishing line around the tire like in the grooves so it doesnt shred apart

An idea for the 200mph car Use four Motors two for each axle and increase the wheel base for more room for electronics and get a sheet of Lexan put it on diagonally leaning towards the front (so it doesn’t do a back flip) and put lexan on the sides but make them higher than the top lexan or use carbon fiber. And also love your channel hope to see more off-road with Andy the landy!

I don't understand the motor kV rating. I know what it means and the formula is straight forward to understand. But surely there are so many more variables to consider, like weight, aerodynamic drag, drive train friction and all kinds of things. How can they say this motor will spin this fast at a given voltage? Do they mean when it's not loaded (just spinning in air) or is it based on "typical" scenarios?
@gangstapat78962 жыл бұрын
Think you should put some better suspention on it (more ride height and softer shocks) Also maybe some small spikes on the tires helps with grip
@doorfgames86732 жыл бұрын
Ya
@muskokamike1272 жыл бұрын
The problem with ride height is you get too much air under the vehicle which means it will go airborne easily. remember: if that's a 1/10th scale vehicle he's trying to do 1000 mph scale. Real full sized vehicles haven't done that on the salt flats.
