Hi Jake. Just came across your video. Congrats on the purchase. One recommendation for you. Please change the timing belts. They are not expensive or difficult to do. They are rated for two years or 12,000 mi whichever comes first. Based on how dirty the bike was, I expect yours are old. If a belt fails the piston will hit the valves and nuke the motor

Yeh, I always use a battery having 220 CCA for my Ducati 944 st2. It's worth checking the wheel bearings. You have an absolute gem here. Love it

A good friend of mine still races his 900ss's in WERA and they are an absolute weapon. Was able to take national championship many times on them...in a row... for quite a while... lol. This was only up till a couple years ago when he switched to the 748 platform. Don't let age of the bike fool ya. lol.

These bikes are awesome! Make sure to double-check the frame near the head tube. They are prone to cracking right near the mounting bracket for the fuel tank.

Hello, I have a 1995 90ss and I want to check the frame on ma own bike. Is it where the gastank stand its broken?

That was a steal. Ive had Supersports for 25 years. Great bikes! I'm surprised the Wizard was such a poor bike mechanic. You do sound like Agent Smith.

No offence intended but I can't help thinking of Agent Smith when I hear you talking...watch out for Neo ;)

When you keep say "just look at it". I know what you mean. Ducati's are so beautiful. I have a 21 year old Blue ST4 that I've shared my life with for over 14 years. Wouldn't part with her for anything (well maybe s suitcase full of cash). But you know what I mean.

This old Ducatis are tired and broken, but they are real Ducatis 😅

Weird... that bike SHOULD have fully adjustable front forks. Those legs appear to be from the older 750 SS which were non-adjustable.
@100PercentJake2 жыл бұрын
It's a 900SS/CR, which has non-adjustable forks. It just has the full fairings put on it from a higher-end 900SS.

@@100PercentJake That must be an American market thing, then... In Europe the half-fairing version (over here called "Nuda" for naked) was technically 100% identical to the "Carenata" or full fairing 900SS, including the adjustable front. They were also basically the same price, maybe 250 bucks difference.
@splodge572 жыл бұрын
Also has the steel swingarm from the 750SS.

I think yellow was only for 1997. It is a CR and not a SS.
