You described Swarens' style well. I liked "City of Trees." It wasn't as contrived as most holiday romances, and it's intimate, in the broad sense of the word. I enjoyed getting to know the women as they became reacquainted and sparked. I actually felt like I spent 'quality time' with them!

I've watched her previous films and let's just say, they're watchable but, definitely, they need some cuts, to eliminate useless bits and pieces, and maybe even speed up some scenes a bit, other than that, they are nice to watch especially now that there are so few lesbian-themed productions...
