Once again feel kinda bad for Navi. They really got screwed by the format this year not gonna lie. They almost beat Vitality who are great currently. They got screwed over by single elim THREE TIMES for ALL masters this year, which, for a team with that caliber of players is pretty sad. Twice to Heretics who were the best team in emea in those games by far, and now by vitality. Did they play great stage 2? Absolutely not, but in the vitality game one certainly could see glimpses of old Fpx in them. And now theyre done and dusted pretty much. Sad times.

I don't feel bad for NAVI. Just disappointed. Sure, they were in a single elim 3 times, but you cannot deny that they did not play to the best of their abilities and rise to the occasion. The players are great, but they have been constantly faffing around with roles when Shao has been a top tier initiator and Ange1 was doing fine on smokes. Zyppan and Ardiis had off performances when it counted the most and Suygetsu felt out of sync at times with his signature lurks. This team dropped their coach and still struggled. They left it too late to start trying to win for a last chance qualification to Champs and they did not perform great in the split versus the two weakest teams (GX and KOI). It's hard to say that they were screwed ONLY by the single elims. They were screwed over by their lack of initiative and constant instability of roles. It's sad, but a huge disappointment of the high potential of this roster.

The single elimination first match is awful but this last one, it’s hard to say they deserved it more than Vitality or even KC to make it to champs. Also, we’ve been waiting for the old FPX to come close to their old form/glory for an entire year. Just because we saw glimpses in the VIT game, doesn’t mean they would change their form around. They still had it in their hands in map 3 and couldn’t even get a single attack round.

@@justmidz I certainly agree with most of your points. Especially in Stage 1 though, they looked really really solid and probably like the best emea team for a while. After they really got screwed by Heretics for Madrid, their stage 1 was really good. Before shanghai, again, they looked great, only to again play heretics who ended up in the grand final. Should they have gotten FUT in that match, they most likely wouldve beat them, from watching these teams at that time. After all that, they looked good again in that Vitality game. Vitality just lost to fnatic as im typing this, but fnatic looked unstoppable. Most of it is cope, yes. But one cannot deny the fact that they were screwed three times in single elims, making it to no international event, against really good teams in unlucky matchups.

As a Navi fan the first half of this year just felt like the opposite of the last half of last year. In the end of 2023 the team wasnt performing but got saved by Fnatic winning everything and scoring an extra slot for EMEA at the tournaments only for Navi to underperform at those tournaments because they never got a grip on the meta. The first half of this year Navi felt like one of the best EMEA teams consistently whilst other teams that were expected to be up there like Vitality, Team Liquid and honestly even Fnatic and Fut in early parts of the season looked a lot less solid. However the format always resulted in Navi having to play Team Heretics, by far the strongest team in the region during the first half of the season, in single elimination games which resulted in Navi never making the tournaments. I feel like cutting doombros was a mistake. The team was playing really well and just got a bit unlucky or missed that clutch factor in the most important games but they looked like they were on track to be one of the 4 teams that would make it to champs. But after dropping doombros it crumbled so fast and so hard to the point that the team honestly probably didnt even deserve to make it to playoffs over teams like BBL, Gentle Mates or Team Liquid. I hope this isn't the end for this team because I still believe they can do great things but I'm afraid they won't stay together or just might not be able to make it work even if they do.

Someone from 100T management clarified that the contract changes for everyone were done to avoid a situation similar to what happened with EG last offseason. It was done to essentially avoid the contract jail scenario. I don't know how much of the "drama" I believe rn, I know 100T had issues back in Shanghai but it seems like they're past it now

Drama around if john qt would be back in time for the game just to show up at the last moment and handle 100T with relative ease. Sacy is not the worst player in sentinels. He is the person who has the least kills but his job is not to get kills but to help setup their duelist and controller. But the desperation of champs and curry not being a controller(I think) might be a big issue for sen
