DataFrame is mutable, not immutable E.g: we can add new columns or modify the columns data or data types so DataFrame is mutable

Dataframe is immutable, not mutable. Please check the spark documentation once. When you add new column or changing the data type, it is internally creating new dataframe based on the previous one. It does not change the existing one by adding new column. API immutability is one of the basic concept of spark
