You have no idea how much I want to know more about his mom! There are so many questions, just imagine how all her memories of having a son suddenly coming back must have affected her, and I 100% believe he never went back home between the end of KHII and the other games!

Take lewis carroll's alice in wonderland, it starts with a family picnic and ends with Alice liddell's mom telling Alice it's time to go home. also animator experiences like Walt and roy Disney's can also contribute to lack of motherly guidance. Walt and Roy(Walt's brother and partner in Disney) presented their parents with a new home in North Hollywood, near the Disney studios in Burbank, California. Less than a month after moving in, Flora Disney complained to Walt and Roy of problems with the gas furnace in her new home. Studio repairmen were sent to the house, but the problem was not adequately fixed. Flora wrote a letter to her daughter Ruth describing the wonderful new home, but again complaining of the fumes from the furnace. A few days later, Flora died of asphyxiation caused by the fumes at age 70. of course I would love to see soras mom, I just don't see nomura finding her useful to the narrative.

Wow, you managed to mention all game without mentioning Chain of Memories and Union Cross. BTW, Chain of Memories was first a Gameboy Advance game and then it got remade in the KH engine. They released the remake in March 2007 in Japan and in North America in December 2008. Also, Union Cross (which is a mobile game) is a sequel to KH X which came out in 2016. It was first branded as Unchained X (Chi) but it got rebranded as Union Cross.

@@mangekyotashi That is kind of my point. Fact check or gtfo :). But seriously the people watching this video will often be die hard fans so any mistakes made will cost you viewers. Especially when as I said the leaderboard made a 107 facts video a year ago that DID do it's fact-checking. Also didn't mention before but they probably shouldn't have put clips of KH3 in there as the game will only release in 22 days as of this message and some of us have been avoiding all possible spoilers ESPECIALLY since the Aqua incident.

I noticed this, too. The narrator did has a great voice for this sort of work and decent presence, but the lack of complete fact checking and jokes that fell flat are a serious detriment to the video. I'm a long time KH fan myself and this is the only video I've ever seen by them. It could have been a good oppurtunity to pull in more subs by way of interest, but I have no desire to watch anything else from this channel.

Ok browsed and some I found: It was a creation of Squaresoft 100%, it was produced or whatever you call it by Squaresoft and Disney Interactive then later by Square Enix and BuenoVista Games (KH2) and now I think it is Square Enix and Disney interactive again. I will let you know on the 29th :). They missed a buncha games that Nomura worked on. Although that was less meh I will admit. The idea for the game did NOT happen in an elevator. Square was inspired by Mario 64 and wanted to make a game like that but didn't have any highly recognizable characters on the level of Mario. When they ran into Disney execs in the elevator they then pitched the idea. Man did they get the plot wrong, its...too much watch any of the many videos floating around about the plot. Trying too hard to make the voldemort analogy fit. "Alienates anyone who wants to get into the series for the disney stuff" This is a series where each game has multiple disney worlds, each with their own stories that then tie into the main story. These Disney stories continue across multiple games and...there is a LOT of Disney in KH. They were right about Sora, Riku and Kairi though surprised they didn't also add the connection with Ventus (Air), Terra (Earth) and Aqua (Water) who are connected to their respective characters. Not to mention Namine (A wave in the ocean). It may have been a later point but I aint watching it all again. Nomura originally actually wanted a more Disney game but his mind was changed by Hironobu Sakaguchi who told him to Final Fantasy it up. Yoko Shimomura did not produce Hikari which later became Simple and Clean the KH opening song. The sword, shield and staff wasn't a choice of weapon but of fighting style. Which admittedly doesn't carry over, in later games you pick again, but still. Could have mentioned it. Guess it didn't fit the snide joke. As for the swords, Disney didn't really trust Square for the first game. This is Disney they ain't big on trust when it comes to their image. They didn't even let Square use mickey for the first game except in one cutscene. By the second game they relaxed their standards. Context makes for a less condescendingly .... funny? ??? but more accurate video. The third Sora victory pose is based on Zell, a character from FF8 that Nomura designed, note the lack of weapons, and not Zidane from FF9 a character that Nomura did not design. Nomura didn't want to work too much withcharacters that he did not design. Cid in KH isn't there because he is a recurring element. Each FF games Cid is different and the one in KH is specifically Cid Highwind from FF7 who is there along with most of the other FF7 characters.....cause Nomura got his big break with FF7...get it. You don't have to pick between Oblivion and Oathkeeper because dual-wielding, yeah this one is a bit snide but meh I had to watch this video again. And that is it. Watched 8 mins of this video and found all those. Have better things to do than watch the rest.

For people who don’t understand the story, either; play all the games in chronological order, or watch all of the cutscenes in chronological order, or... watch at least one decent story summary. I had played almost all the games, with years in between, and was a bit confused. Now, Ive been rewatching the cutscenes in chronological order and I watched a summary video, and things are actually making a lot more sense now.

If you want the whole timeline: KH: Back Cover and Union Cross (They tell the same story but from diferents points of view) KH: Birth by Sleep KH 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage KH1 KH: ReChain of Memories KH: 365/2 Days KH2 KH: ReCoded KH: 3D Dream Drop Distance KH 0.2 (Some parts of the game are on the future) KH3 But after KH1 you should play KH2, and after that chain of memories or birth by sleep, Chain of memories is actually a very good game that after playing KH for too long it's mechanics are refreshing (You will probaly not undertand KH2 if you play right after KH1, but i think it will be more enjoyable for you, if you like to understand the story from the get-go then play first KH1, Birth by sleep after and follow the timeline after that, but leave KH: Back Cover and a fragmentary passage to last) Remember the story or you will have trouble remembering key plot points

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Kingdom Hears. The storylines are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of separation of Identity most of the story will go over the typical players head. There's also Sora's bond of friendship deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from typical JRPG heroes, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appericate the depths of these storylines, to realise that they're not just intertwined- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Kingdom Hearts truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the determination in Sora's profound catchphrase "Thats the power of the keyblade," which itself is a cryptic reference to Final Fantasy VIIs power source Lifestream. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Tetsuya Nomura's genuis wit unfolds itself on their game consoles. What fools.. how I pity them . 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a Kingdom Hearts tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎

They also had to switch graphical engines midway through development which the engine they were using had a lot of glitches so they changed to the unreal engine. Also kingdom hearts 3 has only been delayed once since its 2013 announcement as it was supposed to come out around Christmas time but there were some menu and voice synchronization problems they needed to fix

One of the most annoying things about liking kingdom hearts is the fact that I grew up with it too, played all the games as they got released, became frustrated and disappointed by all the unnecessary connecting and ret-cons, and bad storytelling, then being around manic obsessive fans who outright deny this being the case and claiming that anyone who thinks the story makes no sense “just hasn’t played all the games” in order. I really find it hard to believe that this is the case of everyone confused by the story. Maybe true of game critics. But why is it SO hard to accept that KH is a fucking mess. Yes, it does *kinda* make sense if you play all the games but this series is more closely tied to Disney which has more simple and heartwarming stories. And I feel like after COM, Kh has been going deeper down the shounan genre rabbit hole of edginess, hopelessness, nihilism, and depression...all thanks to Nomura. It’s like he wants to turn the series into his emo wet dream and then just shoehorn Disney characters in it. And these manic fanatics just eat this shit up. Doesn’t he do this enough with the final fantasy games. Jeez, the thing I liked about the first game was how nostalgic it felt, how it felt more like an anime kid in a DISNEY universe. Now it just feels like out of place Disney characters in an anime. And since the majority of fans are/have been weeaboos they don’t seem to care about the shift in tone.

No. 102. In Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, there was a cutscene where Xemnas was at Radiant Garden where he was using the computer. He typed in the username “Another”. Xehanort = Another. Then he typed in the 6 passwords and their names are Xehanort, Braig, Even, Ienzo, Aeleus, and Dilan. No. 103. To this day we still have not yet know the real name for Demyx and Luxord. (Guaranteed they will show up in Union Cross or not.) No. 104. The box art cover for Kingdom Hearts 3 has “XIII” on the clock so, in the world of Kingdom Hearts, there is 13:00 am and pm. 102? : The Divine Rose, a keyblade that is received in Kingdom Hearts 2 after completing Beast's castle can actually be collected in Kingdom Hearts if you return to Hollow Bastion's library and talk to Belle, The Divine Rose in Kingdom Hearts is actually the Keyblade with the best stats that I know of thus far.

Confession: I *LIKED* the Gummi Ship segments in KH1. I did. I really dove into it too. I learned the menu control layouts and really cooked up some crazy ships. I felt like the Gummi segments in KH2 were too fast-paced and too on rails to the point that I didn't feel as in control of my ship as I did in KH1.

I may be a girl who is partially blind but I’ve had 24 years of experience with the world so far and I wasn’t even supposed to live past the age of two years old because of hydrocephalus mixed with LMC which is a rare condition but luckily I managed to make it through. Regardless of this I do have a highly intelligent mind and dedicate a lot of time to studying any sort of subject that I come across as interesting which is a lot of things :-) I even study the stuff that is less interesting in case others need to know information as well so yes I am pretty much a bookworm but that’s OK.

18:14 I don't think dearly beloved had a version with lyrics. All of them were played on instruments. By two versions, do you mean the original version and the reprised version. right? idk I was confused on this fact. Just wanted to know because dearly beloved is my favorite songs of all times. When I heard Kingdom Hearts dearly beloved (the 1st one) the first time as a kid it gave me goosebumps and I've been listening to it ever since. I listen to it almost everyday. It helps me cope with stress, sadness, or just help me to relax or fall asleep.Hearing it at the Kingdom Hearts World tour in California actually made me cry because it a song that I cherish dearly. Anyways, I just wanted to know. Thanks.
