The show was terribly written. It was kept alive through good acting and production values - lipstick on a pig. The fact you still have to make an argument as vague as the story itself ("You get or you don't") is more telling about you than the show.

But again someone can’t compare BCS with Lost because both are unique shows. The same goes for Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Terror, Westworld, The Sopranos and so on.

Yassine Baliti LOST has a great storytelling and answering questions but has a few seasons too much. The pacing gives headache sometimes and the dialogue is not that original. GOT and others are far better written.

season 2 when they're on the raft after it's been blown up the shark swimming under the water when you can see the Dharma Initiative logo on its tail... it was originally supposed to be an Easter egg but it turned out to be so visible that people went nuts trying to figure out the meaning... that's also why when Juliet has Jack locked in that one room and they reference that it was used for dolphins and she brings up and sharks they put that in just to explain the mistaken Easter egg

Couldn’t agree more. Wait til you get to your 10th viewing. The best part about the show is that it’s so incredibly complex, that you can still make connections and see things you didn’t notice, even after 10 times. The only other shows with an even close level of complexity are Game of Thrones, 12 Monkeys, Fringe, Alias, and possibly Supernatural. I notice your name is Teal’c. I also love all of Stargate, but SG-1 is the true masterpiece to me, although those shows are more light hearted and for pure genuine and wonderful emotion, than they are deep and complex like the others I mentioned. I often switch back and forth between shows that are deep and complex like those above, and more light hearted and positive emotionally lifting shows such as Stargate SG-1, Smallville, Heroes, House M.D., Kyle XY, Haven, The 4400, Battlestar Galactica, and believe it or not but Vampire Diaries. The thing that makes Lost a level above all the rest is that it combines the deeply complex nature of the mythological/metaphysical and Sci-Fi shows, while simultaneously having the profoundly impactful emotional depth, to create the perfect blend of greatness to make it not only the greatest tv series of all time, but possibly among the best stories ever told in human history!

#43- The scene where they are shot at on the boat was explained in the Lost Box Set. There is a note from the crew of a ship that landed there stating they saw a boat appear in the water, they fired at it and it promptly disappeared. So, most likely it was survivors of the Black Rock or other ships that had reached the island.

Go take a look at the connections between LOST, Sons of Anarchy and Deadwood. I talked to a Deadwood actor (W. Earl Brown) once during a twitter convo where he told me what S4 of Deadwood would have been like and he confirmed the casting connection between the three shows. :)

So I'm Re watching Lost for the 2nd time and I know there are loads of unanswered questions but I have 1 that's been bugging me for the past few days. Wondering if anyone has a good answer? So... Whitmore has been trying to find the island for all these years and Whitmore clearly knows Elouise Hawking. He sends Desmond straight to her in the basement of the old church. Why does Whitmore never just use her to get there??? Is there maybe a difference in actually crash landing on the Island versus simply traveling to the island like in the sub using the correct bearing???

Speaking of Lost easter eggs in games--Just Cause 2 has an entire island as a nod to the one from Lost. Including any planes flying above it crashing, the hatch, the smoke monster, etc.

Re video game references you left out... There's a Swan Computer with the numbers on it in Half Life 2: Episode 2 (part of a trade with the producers of Lost who put a clip of folks playing Half Life in the TV show), and there's an entire island that you will crash on to due to a storm when you approach it in Just Cause 2 that has both a hatch and the smoke monster.

I remember when i first started watching this beautiful masterpiece. Me and my brother started together. It got good very fast, I can recall getting mad at my brother because i happen to logon Netflix while at work and seen my brother had watched 5 episodes without me so I went into settings and logged out of all devices. 😂😂 5 episodes though? The only problem I have with this show is the fact it was way to short

Imo the confusion is the whole point... life doesn't make sense, except for the love we find within it. Every character was lost in life in their own unique way, but found themselves on the island through the community they build together. When you let go of all the details and just experience the show emotionally, it becomes so much more brilliant.

Another game with a Lost reference is Half Life 2: Episode 2- in the White Forest missile base near the end of the game. You can see a mini Hatch-like station with a Dharma logo and old Apple ll.
