Jipyeong and Dalmi had all the right qualities to have a healthy relationship. They are comfortable being themselves and showing their vulnerabilities around each other, they banter and support one another. Jipyeong's maturity and thoughtfulness (thinking clear before acting) and Dalmi's courage and enthusiasm would've made the perfect pairing. I personally think Dosan and Dalmi were too alike (in impulsiveness and being emotionally-driven), that their relationship wouldn't worked out as well.

Almost 9 minutes of Jidal, is this real?!! What a incredible way to say goodbye to then. It really felt like a closure!!! I thought it was just me, that the writers missed the mark, did not like the ending at all. He wrote the letters, he sustained her all those years, the fact that he was an orphaned and rose to success, he should have been the main lead.

There was no possible reason why they shouldn't have ended up together. This obsession with the main lead getting the girl is not always right in every situation. He was the worthy person to receive and give her love. To craft her world and make everything conducive for her work and talent speaks volumes of his love for her. She was in love with him through his letters and transferred that affection to the one who pretended to be him. This drama broke my heart and gave me major second.lead syndrome cos he really deserved the girl

This was PERFECT OMG WHAT A JOURNEY. Drama was such a rollercoaster from start to finish. I have my complaints about some plot points but no regrets regarding who I rooted for. You captured all their moments so well, some I actually forgot even happened! The manips at the end caught me off guard in the best way possible. All the missed possibilities😭 It was so fun to keep up with your videos while the show was airing, always looked forward to them once the weekend was over. Idk about dalmi and jipyeong but i know that i just shipped han jipyeong and happiness. Started the show for the main leads and eneded up staying to see him get a happy ending and now here i am ever after 9 months since the show ended still hung up on hjp. Not a single other character will ever come close to han jipyeong, he truly was something else and its almost criminal that the writer just used him as a punching bag for the leads. Even in the end the grandmother, the only person he could count on sided with dosan and thats completely fine but i just cant help but feel how heartbreaking it must've been . I just wanted to see him with his own family :") Save to say yeongsil was his only happy ending This was the worst second lead syndrome I've ever had ugh why does kim seonho act so well T.T

Good edit. Thank you 💕. I think this is the biggest case of second lead syndrome in kdrama that brought so much chaos in Korea and worldwide 😄. And this is my first time too rooting for second lead that i fell so much in love with kim seon ho afterwards. 😊. Btw I like dalmi eyes everytime she looked at han ji pyeong at the beginning. She had moment of confussion too. But writer just skipped it just like that, since it must dodal end game. However i am quite satisfied with how the drama ended. At least they gave han ji pyeong great development of character till the end. Made me so proud of our good boy. Healed me as #timhanjpyeong 😄. I hope seonho and suzy can have other drama together as main lead. Imagine they will rocks it with their amazing acting.

if you notice, Ji pyeong is still the same as before when Dalmi appear again in his life 15 years later. He still go back to his "house overlooking Han River" alone and speak to "yeung Sil" asking for weather forecast. there's no closure for him .. it's like they are making him "a mentor" in Dodal relationship.

Conceptually great, the inexcusably poor script writing left the show a light comic opera entertainment. Enjoyable as such, but definitely not great. Excepting Han, Grandma, and Sister, the characterizations were inept, borderline incompetent. Somebody came up with an incredible scenario, then scored an "own goal" in execution. Infuriating, to put it mildly. I stopped watching US TV and movies precisely because the scripting, and even the story lines conceptually, were so damn inept, crude even. While this show wasn't crude, it is certainly on a par with the worst of US TV. So horribly disappointing.
