The telltales are all over the board and show as strange ways to pronounce many words you or I would take for granted. Then there are the too many instances of them just getting it wrong, or even fabricating crap. The latter has become a problem when looking up case law cites.

LOL . We were in a restaurant in Montreal, Quebec and witnessed a frustrated customer who obviously didn't speak or understand French . My husband spoke fluent French so he got up to help the tourist and the middle-aged waitress communicate with each other . Before our meal was over the tourist swore and screamed at the waitress , '' F.....g learn to speak American ! '' In perfect English , the waitress replied , '' I do not know such language as American ; I only speak French and English ''. My husband spoke with her and we learned that same tourist had been in their restaurant two days before and caused a young teenage waitress to break down in tears because he verbally abused her , threw his plate , cup and saucer and glass down on the floor , did not tip the waitress . Then asking for the manager he made a further scene suggesting the teenage waitress should be fired before he left . I apologized because I myself spoke very little French ( learned in high school but very many years had pssed since then . I understood it a bit better ) . She smiled and said , '' You know how to say , hello, how are you today ,please and thank you in French and your pronunciation tells most of us working here that you are not fluent in French . Most of us are bilingual so we switch to English . ''

Ah, you're absolutely right - I goofed up there! Wyoming beat Colorado to the punch in 1869, granting women the right to vote through a legislative act. Colorado came in second, but still pretty awesome - they gave women the right to vote via a public referendum in 1893. Thanks for catching that, and my bad for the mix-up!

It was done in order to have enough of a voting population to qualify to become a state, which happened on July 10th, 1890, when Wyoming became the 44th state. This information comes to you courtesy of the 4th grade Wyoming History class we were all mandated to take when I was a child. I can still remember the entire class chanting "July 10th, 1890, 44th state" over and over.

Hey, thanks for the comment! I think there's a bit of confusion here. While there wasn't exactly a 'Kingdom of Hawaii' in 1870, there was definitely a lot of American interest in Hawaii back then. War was declared against the United States by the Conch Republic and a loaf of Cuban bread was busted over the head of a United States Naval officer. Only moments after a letter of surrender was issued by the Conch Republic. Followed by a letter requesting $1billuon in foreign aid. The people of the Conch Republic are still waiting for their foreign aid. The war itself lasted less than 1 minute.

Funny how a fighter plane could fly directly into the Empire State Building & it just got stuck. Literally! Knocked some bricks off & only the pilots were killed (I think). Life went on. SOME how, a building MADE to withstand a 4-engine jet crash into it, crumbles in just a few moments-TWICE. Boy, what are the chances!!!!
@joestrike853727 күн бұрын
The ESB had a steel framework that enabled it to survive the crash; the WTC was mainly supported by a solid core, its walls no so much. In a thick fog, the pilot thought he was flying down the Hudson River on the west side of the building, but was actually travelling down the East River & thus flew into the ESB
@frankgordon882927 күн бұрын
@@joestrike8537 If it's still on YT & not deleted, the architect on the WTT was interviewed & said the towers were built to easily stand a Boeing 707 fly directly into them. They are surprisingly about the same size that flew into them and "brought them down" in under an hour.
@billolsen43609 күн бұрын
Eleven people inside the ESB were also killed, workers at Catholic Charities were putting in extra hours because the disaster of WWII in Europe had them busy sending food overseas and finding adoptive parents for European kids orphaned by the war and the plane had one off-duty service man aboard who was trying to get home after mustering out of the US military.
