Fact 102: People always call them "The Ramones" Despite the fact the albums list the band name as "Ramones" Why no mention that "Elvis Ramone (most consider him to NOT be an official member) was the drummer for Blondie? And why quote a few songs but not their Simpson's appearance? "We'd just like to say THIS GIG SUCKS!" "Yeah! Up yours, Springfield!" Another fact: Every time a listener of The Dungeon on wlvr announces a birthday, Shecky plays the Ramones "Happy Birthday" song which concludes with C. Jay saying: "Go to hell, you old bastard". There were also two episodes where Simpson's characters said: "Gabba Gabba Hey". One was that awesome one where Homer tripped balls by eating all those hot peppers and started hallucinating. That one also had Johnny Cash as the spirit guide space coyote. No mention of Ramones being one of Stephen King's two favorite bands (The other is Ac/Dc) And him not only getting them to be on the movie soundtrack, But he also used Ramones lyrics and song titles as dialogue in the movie script? Great band. Fun video. Deserves a sequel.
@greymajickjedi6 жыл бұрын
Additional facts: How many Ramones songs had medical themes? ("Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment", Teenage Labotomy", "Phsycho Therapy", etc.) "Every Time I Eat Vegetables I Think Of You" is about a quadriplegic. "Bonzo Goes To Bitburg" is based on a true story! When President Reagan visited a German cemetery with infamous Nazi officers buried there. "Pinhead" was inspired by the 1931 Tod Browning movie "Freaks" (original Dracula director) In 1996 Diana Fenstermacher and Nancy Schroeder did a fanzine called Notes From The Apiary which had oodles of Ramones articles, references and pictures. i saw them in Stars on their ¡Adios Amigos! tour (i spent a lot of that time making out with Marissa Eggert. Yeah, i was the guy in the tux with tails) C. Jay had numerous tattoos, was featured in tattoo magazines and after Ramones split up, he started a band called Los Gusanos (The Worms or The Maggots) On motörhead's album 1916 there is a tribute song to Ramones with awesome Lemmy lyrics like: "Black leather Knee-hole pants Can't play no High school dance". Green Day would sell their soul to Satan to be 1/1,000,000,000th as relevant as Ramones. Billy Joe has sucked Satan's cock so many times for fifteen more minutes of fake fame, he has been hospitalized for scaly pecker throat injuries. (They claimed he was in rehab) God, i fucking miss these guys. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

The last song released by the band wasn't "Born to Die in Berlin". They recorded 3 songs after "Adios Amigos" and released officialy: "California Sun" (re-recorded for "Music of Our Mother Ocean" album), "R.A.M.O.N.E.S." and "Any Way You Want It" for "Greatest Hits Live" (1996). Great video, but Fact No.3 is incorrect, DeeDee was the original vocalist and Joey was on Drums, with friend Richie Stern on bass; -- Tommy only joined "only a few rehearsals" as they quickly realised their original lineup did not hold up, but they had already started calling themselves Ramones at this point.
