Getting tangled on my other rod motor bumping the ground and boats trying to flip you out of the kayak but I just caught my first flounder the other day and it made it all worth it. I have one. Wade out too far behind the San Louis Pass bridge, stay out way too long after the tide turns, lose the bottom, realize there's nobody around and have to swim at least a quarter mile. Saved my life, but lost my stringer of reds, specks, crocker, and my rod and reel. That was a close one for sure.

Long time no see, Captain Chaos! Went to one of your crabbing spots Thursday and it was on fire. 2 dozen large crabs in a little over an hour. All males and nothing under 5.5". Never had to use the ruler. Not gonna blow it up on here, but it was a boat ramp with an L shaped pier. Welcome back, my man. Good luck with your classes.

Ahhh what's up Robert! YES I still haven't went crabbing this year, but that's great to hear and I know the exact spot. At the end of October I had my best day crabbing and caught 36! I gotta get on it before it gets too cold.

@@TheFishAndTrips The parking lot was a mudhole, but it wasn't bad along the water. This was my first stop at daylight. Was taking my neighbor on a crab tour, showing him spots. Went thru Galveston, across the ferry to Bolivar and the N. jetty, kept going east and ended up in Anahuac, then back to Spring. Lots of miles, and ended up with 36 keepers. Next time I will just hit the hot spots.

Yeah man…I saw that guy on the boat coming at me. I stood up and waved and he actually slowed down. He told me he couldn’t slow down by yall or he would get stuck. He tried to go to the back lake and almost got stuck twice. So I guess he left the area. Anyway…good to see you out there yesterday.

Yeah, I know it's pretty common back there when the water gets certain levels they have to fly in order to plane to prevent hitting the oysters, but I think boaters should also think about the risk versus the reward.

Yeah it's sketchy, but happens often because for the boats that do go back there have to go fast to plan or will hit bottom.

the boater was actually very considerate. He cut in front of the kayak so his wake him him bow on and not sideways which is more likely to swamp him.
