Well, I've been pondering your question for 10 years. In that time, I've put together a research team whose members have varied fields of expertise. We finally determined that the answer is: Comedy. This is a well-produced music video that is part of a comedy sketch show. Of course the video quality is not up to current standards, but the production values are high quality and the humor stands the test of time.
