Out of all the women back in 1970 I reckon Irma Ogden (Sandra Gough) was the most attractive.

Grief-Lucille’s 21 and her and Irma talk like they’re ‘getting on’! I’m now 43 so I must be ancient!

Can’t help feeling sorry for Lucille. All she did ( rightly) for the gypsies, and they turn her away!

yeah to be fair, she has been in an orphanage because her mother died , left by her father, accused by her step mother of kidnapping her baby brother, then Jack walker dies , no wonder she wants to run away

When Maria who is my favourite began in Coronation Street in May 2000 there was only Ken and Emily and Betty Williams (Formerly Turpin) left who were in it from these episodes.

at 6:45 a rather lovely moment with Handel and Irma - Irma looking at a Blue John stone brooch which he's bought to give to Minnie Caldwell - - and clearly there's something about Blue John stone which is privately and personally meaningful to Irma ... and instantly she goes from being the cheery smiling jokey shop proprietor to a wisful, thoughtful, memory-remembering mode - such a shame she left the show and never returned ... She could have come back maybe many times over the years ... even though she left for good reason it seems, perhaps a story could have brought her back ... She clearly has far more acting ability than perhaps the usual aspects of her role gave her, and it's moments like that that you see flashes of it ...

If I remember correctly, it was years ago remember, the storyline of David Barlow and Irma was that they eventually emigrated to Australia and both were killed in a car crash.
