What a beautiful yacht…Well done refit and design….I looked at the price before I looked at the yacht and said that’s too much…After seeing what was done, in my opinion it’s well worth the price…..

Many would consider this boat a steal, but to the right buyer, she'll be priceless.

Brother - go with your first instincts. Remember - at some point you have to sell it. The current owner "spent $20 million fixing her up" and is asking $6 million. That should tell you something.

Wow...what a machine. They must have stripped her right back to the steel hull. In most boats of this era, even with expensive refits, you can still see vestiges of the old rope and pulley design...under/over v-berths, lots of white paint with wood trim etc. Not here, unless it's intentional like the bow locker. This little ship has superyacht beauty inside, especially in the accommodations. Beautiful master stateroom and the quality of the woodwork all over is first rate. The Florida room is a wonderful touch and I agree, it's where I would be cruising the coast. Under the refit though, she's all muscle...tough as nails steel and those engines...just wow. This, however, might be a tough sell at over $6 million. It's going to take a buyer who appreciates the bones of this ship, its shipbuilder lineage and its resilience as well as its beauty. Most potential buyers would probably go with a new 90 foot Sunseeker and not pay as much. The buyer is going to be someone for whom Nereus is Love at First Sight!

Thank you for sharing this absolutely beautiful ship with us and I truly appreciate and Love it. Everything is perfectly done and the wood work is done by master craftsmen who love their jobs and it shows here on this 1969 beautiful boat and she an I are the same age, but she is in Alot better shape than I am. If I had the money this boat would be sold to me and my clothes would be hanging up inside it closets and I would never want to leave the boat once I got on. Can you imagine going to the Bahamas, Jamaica or the Florida keys with her. This beautiful house on the water, she's going to be turning heads and everyone who is near her would want a tour of the inside. She is worth it and I wish the boat builders today would take a closer look and see that by having 3 state rooms instead of the designer trying to squeeze 5 state rooms in her, like that old saying less is more. An that's why those rooms look so nice and you don't have to back out of the rooms just to turn around. You have plenty of room to get dressed in the bedrooms where alot of boats today you don't have much room because they wanted more bedrooms instead of going this route an have 3 rooms that have been thought out with comfort in mind. To me, this boat is absolutely the most perfect and spacious an along with it's steel hull and aluminum super structure and sun deck, this is a go anywhere boat. That aft room is perfect also. When I was watching this video for the second time, when he showed us that stunning living room, I kept thinking about where or what spot would you set up your Christmas tree. I myself would put it just left of the TV. That way the grand children can see it when they walk in that room and they love to decorate it every year at Papa's house. It's really about our families and spending time with them and sharing our love with them. I know my grand children would love to have this beautiful boat and call it home when they come to visit it. God already knows, if I had the money I would have already bought her. An leave the dining room table alone and add about 8 comfortable chairs for fantastic dinners to be served with the perfect meals. I'm old fashioned country through and through. I'd rather have a meatloaf dinner that to have shrimp or lobster to eat. Fire up a grill and have burgers and hotdogs for lunch and grill the best steaks for our dinner. There are endless ideas I have that I would do if I owned her. But rather she would own me like it really is when we think about it. Thank you so much for letting us see her cutting through the water and while at anchor how steady the stabilizers kept her from pitching from side to side. That really important for those children who get sea sick easily. I absolutely love these older boats and the hard work that the workers put in building them. Most of those who built these older boats have passed away but they leave behind great works of art, so I say rip and thank you to them All who lived doing their jobs and taking pride in it. That is the key word I think when we see these boats, the craftsmanship that went into building them, those workers used alot of their pride in it and it shows. The people who designed her, knew what they were doing also. I can't say anything bad about this boat except, I don't own her right now but hopefully I will soon. God bless everyone of us and remember share our Love that's inside our hearts aling with our Kindness for your fellow man, and woman. May we all find the love that we each should have in our lives.

Certainly enough for a summer in the Med or winter in the Islands and given the quality of the build, sufficient to do an Atlantic crossing via the Azores and Bermuda'.

Nice Yacht. Question is , will the 53+ years old Steel Hull hold up for another 5-10 years ? Will it not Titanic on the new Owner ?
@clivestainlesssteelwomble76652 жыл бұрын
Dutch steel hulls are rolled marine grade tank steel... Its very corrosion resistant...and they would have surveyed every inch of what would be a shaped hull .... With the thickness being controlled by the forming process .. modern hulls tend to be constructed from panels welded together. You are looking at hull that should be good for another 100yrs providing its maintained. Certainly wouldnt hole like a GRP hull if you settled on a reef or age fatigue .

Given the age of the yacht, you might want to put in how old the appliances are, what steps have been done on the cabinetry, if any, to keep them from creaking like an 1850's schooner. She looks wonderful. I would advertise that back deck more of an area for fishing than stowing stuff. Add a livewell and maybe a bait station in the corners and you are good to go. Also a wash station for your hands afterwards. Feadship made 2 sportfishing yachts and Denison handled the sale of one of them, Liberty, I believe so this would be a great way to get one very similar to that design that Feadship won't ever make again. Might be a good selling point since more people are looking at smaller yachts like fishing yachts because they think fuel consumption will be lower, but definitely the crewing aspect will be cheaper. Or at least that is what I was told by a few brokers recently. They could be lying. They are brokers after all. Just kidding. Did you all get rid of Ryan Alexander? My favorite L.A. sounding swaying verbose grandiloquent yacht buzzword talker. And Kurt Bosshardt not being in a video lately is a rarity. This guy has Alex's stoic delivery with Will's enthusiasm and a dollop...yes a full dollop of Bobby's happy-go-lucky charm.

It's charming but old design. It's impractical in today's market. It's WAY overpriced. Reminds me of something my brother-in-law would buy because he inherited a buttload of dough and then immediately regret. Crew quarters? How much crew do you need? As a world cruiser - No way. Not ever. Not at any price. As a beach condo with a mother-in-law setup - Maybe. But where will you park it and at what cost? And for $6 mil you can buy a mansion that APPRECIATES on the water and is much easier/cheaper to maintain and access.
