Even though the weather is cold outside, it's great to be back inside riding with you. Thanks again, Jerry, for making indoor riding interesting.

It looks like a tough life you got there Jerry, testing out all of these great rides and all. Sympathies... Can you suggest a few cycling destinations that you would recommend for riding anywhere in Colorado, with summer high temperatures below 90 degrees? I'm a retired dude looking for a nice place to ride to escape the heat of the desert in the summers. WITH a class one bike path, OR a low-traffic gravel route of ten miles or longer? Bonus points/extra credit if there is a lake or reservoir to paddle within a 20-minute drive of said bike path/trail? I have spent time at Dillon Lake, for example, and enjoyed that area, but it is too expensive for me there. Do you have any suggestions that you would recommend? I enjoy your videos, thanks for letting us tag along. -Bill

First location that comes to mind is Glenwood Springs. It has access to the 42 mile long Rio Grande Trail to Aspen. It also has access to the Glenwood Canyon bike trail. I have at least five videos posted that cover these trails in segments. As far as dealing with heat in the summer locals go to higher altitudes to cool off and recreate. I live in a hot desert area so I simply get my workouts done in the mornings before it gets hot. As for paddling we paddle mostly on rivers. I have a web page that I created in a previous life called Jerry's Local River Guide. You can't go wrong with Dillon Lake since it has both lake paddling and plenty of bike paths and comfortable temperatures.

@@JerrysScenicCycling Thanks Jerry for your suggestions. I will take a look at your suggested videos and your paddle web page. That Aspen area is pricey! Maybe I can find somewhere between Aspen and Glenwood Springs where I can afford to stay. Where I am in the AZ desert it does not cool off enough for my wimpy internal thermometer, even before the sun rises! Keep up the good work and enjoy the ride! - Bill
