Not only is this a fucking phenomenal performance, but I can finally understand some of the lyrics that have perplexed me for 20 years!

If anyone knew the entire backstory on this band, it would blow your mind. All of these musicians showing up miles away to present rock music is eternally amazing! #rock

@@cucuzza21 I was the lead singer of a band called outshinned back in the day before soundgarden was big. I have no idea how we came up with the name but it stuck. We opened up for loundhouse at the studio lounge a magical rock bar that had actual groupies that would party all night long which made it super addictive sorta like a dream. You didn't need to be famous to catch the eye of a sexy groupie back then you just needed the talent and balls to rock the crowd on that stage and good times for all followed! We brought a bunch of friends to the show we were still in highschool and loudhouse impressed the record exec who flew out to see them live which is a miracle that they flew out to Detroit of all places to sign them! Rotting Pinata should have been a top-selling rock record it did really well but record label dropped the ball on making them global rockstars! Rotting Pinata was epic and packed with solid songs from start to finish. Vinnie has been a part of rock music for decades talkin 50+ years and most impressively he's lived it! Since our band was locally cool but got overlooked by the major labels in town, I watched Vinnie's career closely. Andy and Vinnie became a strong team featured on Howard stern a few times and touring nonstop nationally. Loudhouse turned sponge, in the beginning, was filled with epic bandmates that created a timeless album rotting pinata. Loudhouse would gig out in Chicago to get a fair shake due to the Michigan scene being filled with some who would hate on bands who were finding any amount of success. After a while, on the radio, Michigan music fans flocked to sponge but the journey of the band was always an enigma. Vinnie was a driving force in the transformation of Loudhouse but the band back in the day focusing on quality and being the best broke them from the Michigan dome that 99.999999% of musicians and bands never escape from including me. Andy and Vinnie have toured relentlessly and have kept the dream alive. Vinnie's entire life has been songwriting and music if anyone should get a nod into the Rock and Roll hall of fame it should be Vinnie! With a vast music catalog from countless bands and projects he's been in, he's accumulated a very impressive portfolio of works that's spade 5 decades of rock and roll and millions of plays worldwide of his songs! Sponge has 400,000 listeners on spotify showing the rock is still indeed alive. The STUDIO LOUNGE is sadly now a Taco Bell but was once a magical place where musicians and bands even national acts or musicians looking for some stage time would drop in is gone and there will never be a place like it. Vinnie is currently fronting the band The Lucid also connected to Megadeath and famed bassist David Ellefson and the entire album is Rockin! What's most noted is Vinnies resistance to ever stopping his rock and roll dream, and his Keen ability to always improve and get better as a songwriter! Absolutely criminal that he's not a household name, he's worked his ass off for it and should be! I'm launching a solo album after many years of working and playing music on the side as lowfijones. Just finished building the studio, excited to get things rolling. Looking back to the fun of the live music and the party-like atmosphere and pinch myself that I got to be a part of something so rock and roll magical! Funny story at one of our gigs while still in high school last song of the night as the headling act we shouted out a hotel party at such and such place and 4 random people rented rooms and the party raged for an entire weekend till it got out of hand. The gig was Friday and all Saturday and part of Sunday and was a total blur. Beer, acoustic guitars, radios, a little smoke, fun woman just good times!! Hope this tiny backstory was enjoyable for you and was a joy for me to go down memory lane what mindblowing times they were!

I think I listened to this song a hundred times while going through a difficult time but looking back, it seemed to speed the mourning process. Gotta keep keeping on no matter the pain................
