I thought the reason "The Pataki's" was never picked up was because A: it was too dark for Nick back then, and B: if they aired it on MTV, it would've been conflicting with the then-popular "Daria."

DreamDragoness25 that is true however that was a bad move from MTV. If memory serves me right there were 2 MTV channels at the time. Daria could continue airing while the patakis aired on the other channel. They could of potentially doubled their ratings

I honestly never watched it when I was young. I only recently watched the whole series and movies. I'm am 24 now and am actually really happy that I decided to watch it at my age. It feels like I understood a lot more of it than what I would have when I was young. One of the best cartoons I have ever watched in my opinion.

I'm so excited! I can't wait for this. This show was a huge part of my childhood and is still a huge part of my life today. I'd love to see a season 6. Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie was the best conclusion to the Hey Arnold show because it brought out as much characters as possible, it showed the old episode memories from the seasons of how Arnold helped out everyone, Arnold and Helga got together as a couple, Gerald and Phoebe are a thing, Arnold finally got to see his parents and the story was very interesting. Even though the film brought out the answers that we were waiting for, the show should continue for Hey Arnold because in the jungle movie, Arnold only now started to get together with Helga and his parents which makes their relationships have new fresh beginning that can go on in season 6. The further seasons can show how Arnold's life is going on as he's growing up from 6th grade to high school or college. The further seasons can also show more higher risk situations that Arnold can get into and how he'll have to deal with it. With these new starts from the jungle movie, Hey Arnold can be a perfect show to reboot to season 6 and onwards as he's growing up. This would be perfect for fans who miss the show and want more episodes to see better stories of Arnold. That is why I believe that Hey Arnold should continue on with more episodes and movies!!!!!

I expected this video to be specifically about The Jungle Movie, so this comment will be about that movie. Ever since I read about The Jungle Movie's coming from a magazine, I immediately wanted to see it. Not only is Hey Arnold one of my two favorite Nicktoons (the other being My Life as a Teenage Robot), but the sheer fact that this was a hand-drawn animated movie, with only a little CGI made me want to see it. True, I wish this movie could have been shown in theaters, especially now that I know its original purpose, but hey, better this movie be on television than for it to never happen at all. And I will say right now that I am glad I saw the movie. Hearing the new child actors was emotionally touching, and I say the movie succeeded in giving closure for Arnold's parents. Now, I am also aware the business people at Nickelodeon are considering rebooting Hey Arnold to have more episodes, and personally, I will accept it either way. If they decide to make more, I will watch them. If they decide to stop, I will take comfort in Arnold getting a proper ending.

I have to give Hey Arnold credit for my affection for Jazz music. I had such a great time watching that show and being the same age and also a city kid like arnold and the gang when it debut. With that combined with the Jazz just became an association of good feelings. And not just music, but I think the show shaped me into who I am. It wasn’t a dumb show. It brought social commentary to kids in most episodes.

You're years behind. The movie was meant to air in 2001-2002. But Nick canceling the show due to the poor sales of the "Save the Neighborhood" movie hastily put into theaters (as "Save the Neighborhood" was originally to be the TV movie & "Jungle Movie" was to be the theatrical movie, but thanks to the success of the _Rugrats_ trilogy, Nickelodeon had the _Hey Arnold!_ team turn the "Save the Neighborhood" movie into a theatrical release that did mediocre because the animation still made it look like a made-for-TV special) put the kibosh on it for 20+ years. After years of fans clamoring for closure, 90's nostalgia allowed for the revival of the movie to start picking up steam sometime last year after it was greenlit the year prior. Now, following its 2-year production cycle, the movie will air on Nickelodeon, TeenNick, and Nicktoons in a nationwide simulcast on November 24th. If successful - and it will be, courtesy of the devoted _Hey Arnold_! fanbase, as we're the reason the franchise even came back, along with Craig finding the inspiration to give fans of the franchise the closure we've been wanting since Craig returned to Nickelodeon in a writing/producing/creative capacity - a season 6 potentially hinting at what would become _The Pataki's_ WILL be made.
