Bonus Fact: Making the prologue was incredibly emotional time in the production period for the crew and especially Troy Baker. Neil Druckmann had asked him to reshoot the scene in the prologue where Sarah dies and, to put it lightly, he was NOT happy about it. On the Gamefaqs article interviewing Druckmann, Baker stated that having to reshoot the prologue was "The second most difficult day of (his) life", and that he really, *REALLY* didn't want to do it. Druckmann also stated in the article that during the production one of the sound designers watching the scene had to step out of the office and cry for a while outside. What a powerful scene it was though and it made me tear up a bit as well.

I'm honestly horrified for the next game. The first one was so amazing and I loved how the main topic was love and connections. After hearing it being about hatred, it scares me a little, maybe because I loved Joel and Ellie's connection so much, and I don't want to lose it. Especially after the end, when Joes lies to Ellie to keep her alive. It was definitely a lead up to the second game and I'm nervous it might ruin their relationship, or at least not go over very well between them (if Joel is still alive). It's literally been so many years and it's still such an amazing game. I'm excited yet so nervous

Bought the game about a week ago, and I finished it today. I have never beaten a game so fast in my life before! Great game. Only two things I hate: 1. How I'm limited to carrying supplies. It would suck when I would be max with bullets, but then after a big fight I have very little bullets left, and I can't go back to get the ones I couldn't carry. 2. My sleeping schedule is so messed up form this game. It's currently 2:30 am and I have to be up at 8 am. LOL

It’s funny how so many people pretended to like the game but fail to realize that as feisty and hopeful as Ellie was after discovering her immunity the events that transpired during the course of the game not only the things she was forced to do but also the things she witnessed during your time playing as Joel would cause irreparable damage to her and her perspective of life. I remember my old PS3 broke right when the game came out, and for Christmas my parents bought a new PS3 with The Last of Us inside. Back then I wasn't into anything scary or creepy, but I did love zombie apocalypse games (how does that work?!). My parents told me not to play the game because of the swear words, and there might be something inappropriate so I had to wait for my older brother to finish the game to confirm that it was only swear words (I was only 8 years old at the time). There was one scene where Ellie had stolen a magazine from Bill and she says some dirty things, but my parents didn't think I'd understand them so they let me play. I was amazed by the story and played for hours straight looking for supplies, guns, and easter eggs throughout the game. I did know there was one scene with a bloater (it was not at the school in Bill's town). Where Ellie and Joel end up spitting in a hotel, you have to swim around to meet back with Ellie. You need to find a keycard to open a door but before opening it, you have to turn on the power using a generator. When you turn on the power, Stalkers come running, but if you're on a difficulty higher than Easy (and me being a little kids, I was on Easy), you will find a bloater. The first time I did it, I grabbed the keycard, turned on the power, and just ran for my life. I found out that there was no bloater on Easy and was really pissed off. Before I made it to Winter where you played as Ellie, I didn't want to play as Joel because Ellie was a badass. I got my wish when I came to that part of the game. I still have the game and a PS3, and I finished the game again (on normal) just a month ago. I couldn't help but feel these weird emotions that kept me thinking. My boyfriend kept looking at me and asking if I was ok because I was thinking so much that I didn't speak to him like I usually do. Great I wrote an essay, didn't I? There are many definitons of the word "zombie" and those include undead, living dead, a person without control over its own body and a few others. So i believe it's technically right to call them zombies. Don't shoot me.

They've just been mutated and kept alive through a parasite. True some of the behavior in the games might seem like Zombie behavior, but that doesn't automatically make them Zombies.

One thing I found really cool, among other things ofcourse was the scene where ellie tells joel about a dream she had and that she was flying on an airplane. Right after the conversation, once you turn around as joel, there is a picture of an airplane on a bus. I thought that was really cool and just put a smile on my face.

Another small thing I noticed after playing the game a butt ton of times is at the start of the game when Sarah gets out of bed to look for her Joel she says "Where the *hell* are you?" and in the Winter chapter when Joel gets up to look for Ellie he whispers "Where the *hell* are you" the same way Sarah does.

Another small detail that hints at some humanity still existing in the infected is when you hit them and they stumble back, sometimes they'll say "No" or "Please". It doesnt happen often but its damn terrifying

Some interesting facts: Ellie is reffered as the light throughout the game and show. Like in some instances we find her sitting and the sunlight pouring on her also some dialogues shows that she is reffered as the light you just have to read between lines. Her name meaning is also light. As the Fireflies says when you are lost in the darkness look for the light. So it refers to Ellie being the light. Like darkness is this infected world and Ellie is the cure and the only immune girl to look for also when Jesse gives them directions to go as Ellie Dina and him is about to leave to find Tommy and Joel he tells that I'll head west Dina can take south and you(Ellie) come from the east. So as the sunrises in the east it refers to as Ellie as she is the light and it can be a possibility that when Jesse says I'll head west it refers to sunset as sun sets in that direction and Jesse eventually died. Also Moose is refered to Joel in the birthday chapter Ellie sees a statue of some wolves killing a Moose and one wolf is seen biting the right leg of the Moose so it refers to Abby shooting the right leg of Joel and we know already that wlf are also known as wolves also you will see a Moose picture frame in Joel's house and when Dina and Ellie went patrol in the beginning they see a dead Moose and Dina asks how many will it take to take down a Moose to which Ellie replies more than one which is a reference to what happened with Joel as more than one were required to trap and kill him

You can see Joel and Sarah's last name in the opening playable scene starting with Sarah getting up. In her room you can look at a certification/document (don't know the exact word, I'm german) on her wall on which you can read their last name. You may have to use the Photo Mode
