Thanks 108 boss, I was just curious, not critiquing. I was the Capt in Elmira Hgts NY (vol) some years ago and we didn't have chiefs from other Depts show up to help, that would have been nice. Our cops helped out too, definitely a bonus.

This video is quite the cake. Especially that ultra rare 12/16 sterling siren! Seriously, hopefully people in and around that house are doing good now. Jeez.

Right on 108. My dad and I did help at one fire. He helped lay hose, and I worked traffic control. Used my dad's van to block the street. Emergency vehicles were let in. Sightseers weren't.

Safe driving - (don't see too much of that on here), Good response, good communications, good use of resources, 2 lines on the ground, good exposure protection, good knock down. Great job - this is what we should see on every job.

I think it's kinda fun to see how the Bravo exposure's Delta side verneer at 2:35 is intact, however at 8:06 you can see how the heat melted it. It was really smoking there for a while. The house on fire is destroyed, before they ever put water on it. I would have hit that Bravo exposure before ever turning the hose on the burning house. It was really smoking there for a bit.

I grew up in the house that exploded. Lived there from 1951 to 1975. When I got married we moved to an appartment in Bellevue, then three years later bought a house that is two doors away from the structure in the video. I've heard stories about the events that lead to the explosion but I don't have any first hand information. According to word of mouth the tenants caused a natural gas explostion by accident from work they were doing in the basement.

@108engineboss Depends where u work and what kind of relationship ur PD has with FD. As a Cop, I've laid supply lines/attack lines, raised ladders and handled exposure lines. U work with what u have.

I was at this fire with EDS, Dave Thomas and I were in the ROX for a parade when the call was dispatched and responded from the end of the parade which coincidentally ended right at the entrance to the McKees Rocks bridge.

Yep. I know Brentwood, a company we run Mutual for, which I have two uncles in that company, both of there pagers are complete fail! Plus, they have a House Siren, which they don't use! So they both have to carry there Radios with themm 24/7 so that they hear calls!
