A super unique voice. He's got the clear high notes, but as soon as he goes deep notes, his voice gains a rasp (not from smoking, as far as I can tell, thank god). It looks like around 2016 he started finding his singing/rap style and practicing pure singing more. And then his singing and performance style improved like crazy. His comfortable singing voice is actually much lower than is talking voice. Haha. And his singing "range" seems to change depending on which language he's singing in. Also interesting.

nice observation made. his singing voice range definitely changes depending on the type of music. sometimes it is so raspy, sometimes it is between soft and hard (idk what best way to describe). but his singing and rapping voice is totally unique, makes listener easily identified that is jackson's voice. btw, even his talking voice vary depending on the language..i notice he speak with deeper tone when speaking english and his voice sound cuter and softer when he speaks korean or mandarin.

This is what Jackson meant when he said “he can but he can’t,” sing, he recently did an interview & said he’s NEVER had a vocal lesson until this year 2022, (unlike the vocalists in his group) so he only had lessons before his song “Blow, was released” he was able to sing better than your average person with no training but wasn’t able to sing fully the way he wanted to until now
