Hi Angela. So sorry to hear about your mom. Both my parents passed away last year so it’s been a daily struggle for me. Loved your deck choices! This is my first time seeing the pensive path tarot, and I instantly fell in love with it. I love how you talked about the historical and literary references for the cards. I immediately went and purchased the deck as soon as I finished watching this video. It is right up my alley. I also purchased “the things they carry” after you mentioned it. Thank you for introducing me to the deck and book.

I hope you enjoy the book and the deck! I find all kinds of odd little associations in the Pensive Path! And with the book, I have lots of tarot associations with it.. that 9 of wands that I showed, the 10 of wands in general, the 4 of pentacles... so many!

Good morning! Is there a reason some of the Dirt Gems cards are black and white and others are in color? "At what cost" is a GREAT phrase for 5 of swords. I have thought that phrase for 7, but never for 5, so that really makes me think about the card in a new way. I've wavered back in forth for years on Pensive Path, but hearing your associations with the cards literature definitely swings it in my favor. Things They Carried is one of my favorite books of all time. As for Southern Gothic, I am from Louisiana but was living in northern Alabama when I bought it. I always felt it fit northern Alabama more, so I rarely use it now - a bit disconnected from my immediate environment for me to work with it often. Thanks for sharing!

The black and white cards in the Dirt Gems deck are associated with one of the suits, specifically the one centered on the element of air.

Great video, thank you! How do you spell "super lanaris" (?) so I can find it? It would be great and helpful if you could list all the names of the decks with their authors in your video description. Where did you get your Pensive Path tarot? OMG I love it, but can't find it in local stores here or Amazon. I'm in Canada.
