I’ve been asked a million times what is it like delivering for Amazon, so here’s a little feel of a 10 hour shift in 28 minutes

Sheeesh Amazon came along way. I was one of the ogs started with plain white transit vans. Crazy how fast times change and I’m only 29 I started at 21 with Amazon. I moved on to my commercial license this new year. Stay up move forward never backward, “life’s a marathon” 🏁 -Nipsey Hu$$el

I'm currently working for a DSP in Richmond, CA. I've been working there for about 7 days now (7 days going alone, only one day of training with someone else). Yestarday, I got 141 stops. I had to sprint the whole time, no wasting time on anything literally speedrunning the seatbelt, handbreak, complete stops (stupid camera) No chill time at all. Then I see you vlogging, taking your time to record stuff and still make it in time. How tf do u do it????

You just have to get used to delivering. it’s all about knowing what to do to make your route easier and faster & also the electric vans allows you to move way faster. I would never vlog in anything else.

@@RAY_FILETit’s more spacious, the screens inside allow you to see all your stops. For example: if you’re at stop 1 & stop 47 is their neighbor(Amazon does this). you can simply click on the 47 on the screen and you can proceed to deliver there. Also once you put your van in park, the phone and van are connected so it automatically goes directly to the scan screen because you going into park(P) acts as the “I’ve parked button”. Another thing is that the key stays on you at all times and you don’t have to turn your vehicle off and e brake at every stop because the van does it for you once you’re in park, and that saves you a lot of time also. I can keep going..

I wrk with Amazon, and that one package in that bag it’s just apart of the policy when loading the bags , once that bag reaches 50 lbs that’s it u can’t put another ounce in it u have to close that bag and put a new bag in that space and continue it just won’t allow u to put more than 50 lbs hope that explains everything.

Immediate thumb 👍 for showing some of the wacky things about their system. I just started watching about how that 2 different house numbers across the street from each other counts as one stop... So the truer numbers are locations 😢 And yeah, most routing apps for other delivery companies do that wacky stop 47 and 48 next to the early stops of 5 & 6... Crazy 2:30 Good thing Amazon has those big touch screens in the rivians... FedEx Ground has iPads for some of their delivery vehicles, but that depends on the subcontractor cost of buying them for their fleet

PS if that Altima has a CVT, change that transmission fluid early and often (30,000-50,000 with OEM Nissan fluid only)

His pace compared to how many packages he's delivering simply doesn't add up. It's got to be tight proximity of his route that allows him to finish in time.

I finally got on thanks to someone I know who knows someone else who works there. It may not be the best job, but a job is a job and it’s not easy to get plus it pays the bills.
