Wow what a beautiful pond. I would agree if I could have a pond this would be a perfect size and design. It would have great flow on it. I’ve seen a few ponds done and I can’t help but think they are to small for koi. Looking forward to seeing this finished :)

What is the inside of the pound rendered in before the fiberglass , and if concrete what is the best concrete type and strength to use.? Also then hat type of fiberglass is this going on and how thick should it be.? How long will the fiberglass last before it needs to be refinished ? What color should the interior fiber glass be for the best look,are there choices? This looks beautiful ,I live in the US and would love to build something like this in my back yard . I have a 3000 gal koi pond now with concrete walls and a rubber liner , still going strong after 10 years ,I’m making modifications as we speak... love koi always!!!

Hello Tim , why do you have the 2 Nexus and a Bead filter? I noticed that most of the filtration systems are like that? Thanks so much 🙏Keith From Texas

would you mind sharing what weight/style of fiberglass cloth you use for ponds? Is it just chop strand mat with polyester resin?

With the uv being situated above pond level, do you have the turn them off when you turn the pump off to clean the nexus? How have you gone about that with the auto kit?

Hi Tim, this looks great! When you install the auto system on a Nexus do you install a non-return valve in after the pump to stop back flow during cleaning? Just wondering as I’m thinking of installing one on our Nexus and EA instructions say it’s required in some installations but not that clear why of when it’s needed. Thanks. Dave.

How would you guys go about solving the issue with a weeping 4 inch pressure pipe. Just installed a full EA system. 320 with Cetus, bead etc. 2 joints are weeping really slowly even after having 3 days to dry. Loads of glue used but disappointed this is happening. Is cutting the joints out and starting again the best option. The install was so neat and tidy a repair is going to spoil it.
@TimWaddington4 жыл бұрын
Definitely need repairing I’m afraid. What joints are they on?
@paulwilson63914 жыл бұрын
4” joint on the Cetus bypass. It’s not flowing out just maybe a drip every few mins. Another is in a 2” joint after a bead. I’m thinking that might get cut and have an eazy connector put over it.

Paul Wilson I have seen tiny leaks block up with algae but it’s always best to get them sorted.
@adamrudge64804 жыл бұрын
Maybe try sealant that's used on the viewing glasses. Gold label is a good one, but not cheap. Try searching this one idealseal ms290. It's the same stuff sold by a different company, for a third of the price. If it's only a odd drip, it should do the trick. Algae will probably seal it from the inside as mentioned.
@paulwilson63914 жыл бұрын
adam rudge yeah got a tube of gold seal and aquamate in the van. Used the aquamate to seal a 2m window in the pond. Worked well. Recently used the gold seal to repair a leaking fibrglass pond. Had to apply it underwater but it’s done the trick.

You seem like the best guy to ask, would you know why the eazys out of the 320 wont fit on a 300 nexus, read that it wont but no reason given as to why when there the same diameter, don't really want to change the whole filters just for these, messaged ea but never got a reply, thanks
@TimWaddington4 жыл бұрын
They changed the moulding tool on the Nexus when they went to the 310 and then the 320. There wasn’t an Eazy on the 300.

@@TimWaddington Hi Tim, there the original design so are not vented from top to bottom like the new ones so tend to clog quite quickly due to water only flowing up from the bottom and not in from the sides also, plus wanted to go to the micro k1 for better polishing, thanks for your time mate
@TimWaddington4 жыл бұрын
Michael Zak the design has changed over the models mate so I can see why the units won’t fit, the depth of the centre chamber has changed etc. I don’t think you will have much joy.

What rough price would you expect to pay for relining a pond? It’s roughly 25,000lts. Thanks.

Adrian Johnson For a flexible liner custom fit you would be looking approx £1200. Did a 21,000 recently and that’s what I charged.
