[10k special] [Fixed in 1.20] Fishing RNG manipulation

In this video I show fishing RNG manipulation. It is 75% reliable on a server I tested on where I have 90ms of ping.

Not sure if you're still answering questions about it but - I have a mod installed that adds bunch of food. Some of it, you can get from fishing as loot. The mod then can't catch treasure loot (it fails a ton, you get probably 1/50 times) - is there a way to ovveride different loot tables so I can fish for enchanted books only for example?

GG on 10k subs! Is this limited to 1.12? Haven't seen anything in the description. Maybe I missed it in the video. Edit: 1.16.4 from your mod page. So is it only possible in that version or is it possible in earlier versions too?

It's possible in 1.12 too, I'm in the process of implementing 1.12 fishing manip, which will be in the next clientcommands update (run it with multiconnect to connect to 1.12)

You could generate the uuid in a more secure way, that would make it significantly harder

It infinitely casts out the rod when I set the goal to something else then fish. Goal: cod - casts out single time and catches cod Goal: any book or bow - doesn't stop casting and never catches anything EDIT: Perhaps found a solution in the comments: E_N_D_E_R there was an update to fishing mechanics regarding treasure items in 1.16. Basically a 5x5x5 area ("Open Water") is needed to catch treasure items. EDIT 2: Nope still doesn't work tried it in 5x5x5 pool and in the ocean.

So the fishing RNG is based solely on the bobber itself? This would then work on any server with any other player activites going on at the same time? If so, then you could probably set up multiple people to do this, while running other things at the same times, unlike other RNG manipulation

Yes, each bobber has its own RNG that is created from its UUID

Yep, you can do other things at the same time and have multiple people doing it. Rybot: slight correction, the UUID comes from the RNG (which comes from the system time in nanoseconds mixed with a global MLCG), not the other way around. We just crack the RNG from the UUID.

afk is probably so that it will auto fish for you and you dont have to do anything while manual fishing you have to right click every time to fish again. idk thats just my guess.

It looked like he was on a spigot server to me, the chat had a world prefix which I don't think is possible without plugins. Might be wrong. Regardless, this is likely to be patched by paper very soon if it isn't already
