Try meat from a goat/sheep atleast 1 year old but no more than 1.5 years old. Most people love that kind of meat. Lamb meat (less than 1 year old) is too chewy/rubbery and if over 1.5-2 years old then it's too dry and stringy. It's delicious when you stew it with heavy spices or grill/bbq it. Soft seasoning doesn't work with mutton. Hope you enjoy it!

I love mutton - grew up with my Mom making it 2-3 times a month and it really makes me sad to see people cooking it wrongly or getting a badly made dish served and hating mutton. Not to discourage you but this is a very tricky dish to make... Firstly, it needs too many ingredients n still, a single step goes wrong and the whole dish is spoiled. Not dissin this channel but many steps are not explained in detail here. Better refer some other videos for the same dish where they explain it better and cook for a smaller group of people, unlike grandpa who cooks for like... An army. Lulz

helmsley777 , compared to other things I’ve made before, this honestly doesn’t seem that hard. This dish is definitely not extremely hard, only thing that someone (who knows how to cook) could mess up would be how much they cook the goat. Obviously it is depending on your cooking level.
