Loved the video, i been a cb user for years driving truck. I am 65 retired truck driver and want to get into having a base or cb with a linear amp. I don't know which way to go as a new user that isn't rich, should i get a base station or 10 meter cb with a linear amplifier i guess needing some advice. I want to be able to get out cross country, you never know when the crap is going to hit the fan and we will need a good long distance rig!!

Good effect of Es ionosphere, You don't need Hi power amplifier, have a good(hopefully full sized) antenna and keep watch everyday. You will contact a station from thousands miles away by few Watt TRX.
