Meaningless, the company saved 200K plus on that one home, a million dollar fine is nothing, they make that up on 5 homes. Put some CEO's in PRISON!!!!

The number revised up or down means nothing UNLESS we are told what the average revision is--for example: Ten claims revised down by 80% and 5,000 revised up by 2%

The numbers 60 minutes showed were on the order of 98% downgraded.

That family can still see the sky through their attick. The amount of money Ron takes from insurance companies for campaign contributions is insane. Honest contracters are quitting in droves in fear of being jailed for doing their jobs. He's turning florida into an insurance waste land.
@audraeden8923Ай бұрын
It’s time for this to stop. Same thing as food processors. Frequent infractions every time. People die with that. At least insurance scams don’t result in death. We mortals get hit with jail time, longer sentences for multiple occurrences. These corporate beasts consider it all the cost of doing business if they get caught once in awhile. It’s time for people to self-insure. Use credit unions as a model. Pool resources with family, the money is there if needed, member owned. That alone will bring honesty, members own, like employee owned business, I’m not going to steal from myself

Sounds like DeSantis is doing a good job and staying on top of it.
@ランダムロボットАй бұрын
Yes, that is why a whistleblower had to bring it to the attention of 60 minutes. That DeSantis keeps those corporations in lockstep. They know not to mess with DeSantis. He is the least corrupt governor ever and never takes money from corporations. That is why his personal networth went from 55k to 1.7 million after being governor.

Not exactly,one of the biggest insurer in FL is Warren Buffet's Geico.
@sofiaruha1277Ай бұрын
He doesn't, one of his liability is that he reshuffled the government for his liking in 2022 or 2023 he asked former supreme court justice Judge Polson to vacate his position and transfer to a different division to work on property insurance claims only,he submitted his resignation in June and 2 weeks later he was all ready working ,witch is legal but because he tied an incentive to the change it self,it was unusual,judges on the supreme court earn around 250k/ year now that Polson is doing something else,his salary has doubled, he only give 2 weeks notice,that he's going to step down,it looks like that someone has orchestrated clogging up the judicial system with frivolous insurance claims witch was advantageous for DeSantis to use executive authority while Scott his predecessor has become junior senator,when Scott was governor ,he did not take a salary, he's businesses was managed by his partner and he was very cautious not to get greedy,he earned 30+ million,but when he become senator,he took the 174k/year salary because that's for life and Republicans has likely negotiated unlimited borrowing against those funds,I think the mastermind behind all this is McConnell.

@sofiaruha1277Ай бұрын
@@MarkAhrens-HeritageFilms personal injury claims in FL has been capped since 2018 to maximum 1 million dollar,do you know why? Because private attorneys and medical professionals has been defrauding big insurance for over a decade,do you know who wrote the blueprint on defrauding the system? Rick Scott in 1997 he and his partner has settled with the government and replayed what they stole,the blueprint stays, malpractice liability insurance stays,and private attorneys continue to act as gatekeeper's in between the wealthy tax dodgers because there are no capital gain tax requirements in FL and Texas.

Especially if they don't know the change was made to the books after they had been shown a different amount by the adjuster. Yeah, that's their strategy. Have 4200 homeowners sue for breach of contract to make them pay instead of fulfilling their contract. Big money scam and the governor is running cover for them apparently.
