I've done the game in both modes to 100%, finished it 6 times in total, mastered a couple of the moves displayed here and consider myself a competent player. what I liked about BOTW's combat is fluidity and cleanliness of impact effects. most of action rpgs are so grossly overloaded with unnecessary lighting and sparks, it is nice that you can actually focus on the movements of your character here.

Botw Link is literally one of the most powerful links let alone powerful Zelda character. He can literally stop the road from ending and is a literal peace giver and maker (especially in Majoras mask). He his seriously overlooked ability wise. THE MAN CAN SLOW TIME DOWN IN BOTW AND HAS THE STRENGTH TO PICK UP AND USE EVERY WEAPPN EVEN IF ITS TOO HEAVY. FOR A 17 YEAR OLD IN BOTW WHO CAN USE WEAPONS NO COMMON MAN COULD AND LITERALLY FROM AWAKING WITH YEARS OF EXPERIENCE (because even though he forgot a lot of his memories he still has his muscle memory and stuff) HE IS MORE POWERFUL THAN LITERALLY EVERY ONE TO THE POINT WHERE HE CAN DEFLECT A GUARDIAN BEAM AND KILL A LYNEL THEORETICALLY WITHIN MINUTES OF EACH OTHER. LINK IS SERIOUSLY MORE POWERFOL IN BOTW THAN WHAT HE DESERVES
